We are requesting a refund for the reservation we made at Glenduff Manor house because the actual accommodations were not at all like what was described and shown in photos on Travelocity. The photos showed a stately home with lovely private rooms for the guests. It stated that a delicious breakfast would be served daily. It also described a pub for the guests on site. As it turns out, the pub was always closed, the stately home/manor was closed, there was never any breakfast for anyone, and to our great disappointment and shock we did not stay in the manor, but in a separate building with a separate entrance. It was a very modest apartment. The manor house was closed, no staff, no guests, it appeared shut down for business. Our lodging was a red and white building behind the Glenduff Manor house. We are very disappointed. Therefore, we did not get in any way shape or form what we paid for! As a side note the Travelocity listing was updated this week and has changed significantly. It says the bar is closed and no longer mentions a breakfast. However the photos are still of the Glenduff Manor exterior and interior, not the actual apartment building that we stayed in. We will never book with Travelocity again unless we receive a total refund.

Nice country manor
A very nice building. Must only have a small number of rooms done up in the manor shown in the pictures; our room, thought grand, was small and plain with very small ensuite. Staff (and dog) very nice. Breakfast was ok but not at the level expected for a country manor.

Charming 1840 farmhouse
Glenduff Manor staff ALL extremely friendly & helpful. The property is delightful, quiet and remote, though just a few minutes outside town if Tralee.

Feeling royal (is what i heard say)
It takes a bit of effort to find this place, but once there you're in for a pleasant surprise. A beautifully renovated -tastefully decorated- mansion where the manager welcomes you with coffee/tea and chocolates (and his dogs happily come to greet you). We heard from other guests that there's a small bar where you can go for a quiet drink at night and a heated patio for people who smoke. We had a comfortable sleep, a delicious breakfast and would most certainly stay there again if in the region. p.s. Should i tell the one tiny minus?...okay, it was very hard to smoothly open and close the shower door

Not the usual hotel. Comes closer to being a great B&B. Felt like staying in a castle. Animals round up the good feeling, Horse, a donkey and sheep. The best partner on sight is Ally the dog. Loves the throw-fetch game. A fair way outside in the green, a good ten minutes drive to the next restaurant, but worth it

Beautiful building no atmosphere or customer care
Very disappointed. Room not even suitable as a single . Bad nights sleep due to enormous and very uncomfortable pillows. Very poor breakfast. Would recommend a visit from the Brennan brothers. Great potential .

Wonderful stay! From checking in to having a freshly poured Guinness in the pub, Glenduff was just wonderful! Mike helped us get settled in and visited with us about the house. We were very comfortable with our family of 5, and had everything we needed in our cottage - hair dryer, iron, plenty of clean towels and beds were incredibly comfy and clean!

When I booked our stay I thought we were in town. What a great surprise when we found out we were in the country! We went to the bar at night and joined in card games. Two local gentlemen sang to us for our birthday. Incredible place!

Very beautiful and big house

Fine Irish hospitality and a comfortable bed.
Another great find. A little bit out of Tralee but nothing too hard to find with the help of google maps. Great old manor house in a rural enviroment. Simple, easy checkin. Lovely old feel room with very comfortable bed. Excellent heating & wifi. Breakfast in the dining room could not have been better. The establishment has a bar frequented by the locals. On the evening we were arrived there was a 70th birthday party occurring with a bit of live Irish music in the bar. We even got a piece of cake! Kirk was a great host.

we arrived to be greeted by 2 large dogs circling the car, one of which was an Alsatian... not the greatest welcome. We had to wander around the place to find staff to get a key - there is no reception. I was then advised that even though my booking stated breakfast was included that that was a mistake on the Expedia website. The hotel should have honoured this and sorted it out with Expedia, as it was not my mistake and I wouldn't have booked it without breakfast. The dogs were locked behind a gate overnight near the place we were staying and were barking very loudly and for a long time at 7am waking up myself and my 4 children and we couldn't get back to sleep with the noise. I went to the main house in the morning to query the breakfast again, as the barman who told me it was not included also told me that he would double check with the owners and someone would come back to me. Nobody did. When I went to check this myself in the morning I was ringing the doorbell and knocking on the knocker for nearly 10 minutes before a guest let me in. The house we stayed in was overly hot and stuffy, with no way that I could see of turning off the radiators. All in all we couldn't wait to leave the place.

Dear Ellen, In regards to your review, concerning your stay here at Glenduff Manor. I can only apologise profusely that your experience here at Glenduff Manor was not a good experience. As it is our policy the cottages are self catering, but I have been on to Expedia myself regarding this matter and they have informed me that this matter has been sorted now. If you had proof on the time of your stay here we would of stood to the breakfast for you and your children, but as I have been informed you didn’t show them anything. In which case they offered you a continental breakfast free of charge for the inconvenience caused, which you declined on the morning. Hidden gem!
Out in the countryside, maybe a ten minute drive to town. Very nice little pub inside the hotel with a few locals. Was a very pleasant surprise, gorgeous place with lots of history. Great stay!

The price was good....
Well, the cotage was lovely, and very family friendly, The bedrooms were very clean and beds very comfy. Unfortunately the kitchen was filthy- I had to wash glasses, cups and plates before using, in the cupboards were leftovers after previous guests I guess....also the bathroom wasn't really clean. No milk , no wifi.... The staff very kind and nice so overall I won't complain to much, but please clean the cupboards. It was disgusting....

The hotel is a beautiful place , with pub attached.Our check in left a bit to be desired with our payment info left out in sight, we turned the paper over with our visa info. The room was good , comfortable and clean.We were extremely happy with the meals and food service.Staff including the owner were very helpful.

Lovely, myself and my family took a short little trip to the Manor for an overnight stay so as to view a local property near by in consideration for moving from Dublin to Tralee. Very warm welcome and historic feel to the service and delighted to have greeted Michael who is an inspiration to see achieve goals in life and make dreams a reality with recognition of the Manor's recent opening and restoration. All the best to the opening of the Hotel in Dingle, it would be lovely some time to stay. I have no doubt of its success and thriving business with plenty of life and smiles. Rebecca & Family

Lovely manor house out in the country. Charming... the rooms were small and the bed even smaller. But the ambiance outweighed the negative. The website said there was TV, but here wasn't. The breakfast was nice.

Not a B&B; far from an ordinary hotel; Glenduff Manor was like being taken to another time, living with friendly people in an idilic upper home. Beautiful landscape. Impeccable interior and decoration. Friendly staff. Memorable Irish breakfast. Warm bar and friendly patrons. We hope we might get back sometime again.

Depends on demographic
How much you'll enjoy this manor house and its location would really depend on your demographic. If you're American and visiting relatives in the south of Ireland, then this quaint location would definitely win you over. If you're a 30-something couple looking for a romantic weekend away, then not so much. Killarney and Dingle are 40 mins in either direction though

Nous avons adoré notre séjour, pas de problème pour trouver avec Google MAP, le lieu est enchanteur, les enfants ont beaucoup apprécié la présence d'animaux (âne, poulain et sa maman, moutons, chien très joueur) dans le parc, on est au milieu de la campagne donc très calme tout en étant proche de Tralee, le manoir est magnifique et les logements spacieux, propres et bien agencés. Il y a énormément d'équipement (machine à laver, lave-vaisselle, four à micro-onde et four normal ce qui est assez rare), dommage cependant que la vaisselle soit très limitée, par exemple aucun plat pour le four. Nous recommandons fortement!

Soggiorno in una tenuta di campagna, in mezzo al verde, a circa 5-6 km da Tralee; non raggiungibile se non in macchina. Tranquillità assoluta. Mobili in stile vittoriano nelle aree comuni, moderni nelle camere. Stanza un po' piccola. Wi-Fi correttamente funzionante. Colazione ottima, si poteva scegliere tra varie opzioni. Non molto gentile la richiesta di pagare l'intero soggiorno all'arrivo; non accettata la carta American ExPress.

Appartement qui donne sur une cour attenante au manoir. Très propre, cheminée à disposition. Par contre, quasiment pas d'eau qui sort de la douché et chasse d'eau défectueuse. Mais le pire, c'est que dans un environnement supposé calme, il y a eu des personnes apparemment "invitées" qui ont fait un bruit infernal jusqu'à 1h du matin dans un patio à quelques mètres de notre logement car ils étaient en état d'ébriété. Aucun respect! J'étais furieuse car le gérant qui était présent n'est même pas intervenu. On n'a pas beaucoup dormi. Dommage, ça aurait pu être un bon souvenir.
