Rooms are a bit tired and we could not open the shower screen fully to get in so had to dismantle it. It’s a great location right on the lake. We only stopped for a weekend stay but would not want to do a longer stay

Words of an advice, Don't stay there!!! The room given to us stunk of cigarettes smell. We asked the hotel to change the room and the hotel refuses. Under no choice, we had to reject the booking. Then the hotel lied yo us that Expedia would charge us cancellation fees. I told the hotel that I wasn't cancelling my booking. Instead, I rejected the booking as the hotel failed to provide a clean room. The hotel refuses to resolve the situation and told us to wait until next Monday to brush us off. We were just tourists there and who would stay there until next Monday to sort things out?! Hence, I had to ask Expedia to step in to resolve the issue. Finally the hotel gave us another room which didn't stink of cigarettes. Overall, the room's tidiness level is poor. Lots of signs saying that we would be fined if we don't clean the room. With the fact that the hotel lies to us about cancellation fees, we were under a lots of stress staying in the hotel and tried to make sure we clean as we go to avoid hectic fines. Overall, the facilities and the room conditions are pretty bad and require some maintenance.

It's a shame that you are writing negative however here are the facts, you booked a disabled room which does not smell like cigarettes at all however after your request we changed your room to a two-bedroom apartment and yet you are still not happy and pretended that everything was fine. try to be more assertive madam. The lake and view were magnificent! The property was ok, we were only there for one night it wasn’t perfect as the blinds were broken the maintenance person was called, but never came. The pool was dirty. The apartment was not cleaned properly. This property has got so much potential to be amazing as the views are beautiful and the building is still new. It just needs a bit of tlc

OK, nice location.
Satisfactory stay in a studio room. Was fully booked during school holidays so parking was awkward and lap pool was very busy. Floors were gritty with sand/dust. Ensuite was too small to dry yourself in and the shower curtain let the water on the floor. Described as fitted to 4.5 stars but not so. Furniture was dated and there was nowhere to hang anything longer than a skirt.

Great little property. Rooms would be better with dimmable lights and a TV that's connected to the antenna. The internet in this ear kept dropping out via phone and hotel WiFi making local channel streaming sometimes hard. Close to the parks and Beachcombers bar. Quick drive to others restaurants.

We loved staying here for 2 nights, the view of the lake was beautiful. The room was spacious and clean. The pool was nice. The resort was close to Norah head rock pool and lighthouse. Would stay again.

I loved how accessible the pool, spa and sauna was. Beautiful outdoors area with a BreakFeast room. Wonderful heated pool. Friendly and approachable Management.

Compared to others we have stayed in, in the area, quite disappointing. Insufficienct “extras in the bathroom “, although it was serviced appartments we did not receive any service at all, people smoking and congregating outside our room, very noisy room from traffic and vending machines. We will not use this motel again.

Room was ok, nothing outstanding but clean and comfortable. The main problem was there wa as lot of noise late at night. There were signs up saying “no noise after 10pm” but right up until I fell asleep at about midnight, there were loud young people making a lot of noise in the halls. And the noise really echoes off the walls. They kept me up.

room very small. breakfast was not as advertised cutlery and coffee cups were very dirty, took 1 day to get free wifi password as on one in reception. Very disapointing overall expereance. Would not recommend or stay at this property again. Booked for 3 nights but left after 2 nights

The cleaning staff were friendly - but clearly overwhelmed. The noise late at night was dreadful. Other guests were standing around smoking, men in large groups, people were banging on our lounge window adjacent to the lifts. There was loud music and other guests outside yelling and screaming. There was clearly no security to enforce the no noise after 10pm signs. Our unit wasn't very clean on the inside. I would never stay here again.

Worst Resort we have ever stayed in!!
Terrible! We booked their penthouse suite and arrived to no air-conditioning in our suite on a 36 degree day. Then the lift broke so everyone was using the stairs in the fire exit, they were wet and slippery as all the wet children were running up and down them from the pool. Then we returned after lunch out to the whole hotel having no power at all. The staff were very unprofessional and the whole mess was handled appallingly. We packed up at 10pm, when there was still no power and checked out and went home. The rooms are cheaply appointed and definitely NOT worth what they charge per night for this place. Do not be tricked by the words "Lake Resort" as it is so far from it. We have stayed in better 3star country motels. Even after all this we would have expected the management to call the next day to try to smooth things over or offer a refund but we haven't heard a thing. We would never recommend this accommodation!

Gorgeous location, and peaceful place to relax! The super friendly and accommodating manager Paul, made our stay so much more relaxing, and it was obvious the other guests were very appreciative of him too! Free breakfast was a perfect touch, not needing to leave for food and coffee was great!

2 bedroom penthouse - amazing views from both sides, really nice room, great value, family friendly, great space at ground for kids to run around on grass, play/kick a ball (balls/equipment provided) while we could have a drink on the sunloungers and enjoy the views. The hotel itself has little amenities, pool only small, no proper foyer etc. Is more like an apartment block, however the important things like spacious 2 bed room, incredible views, somewhere for kids to burn some energy while we relax was really important and great for the price. Will come back.

Nothing liked - room dirty - hair all through room and bathroom - minimal information provided at check-in - only information given was what they did not want you to do. Bathroom mould in grout in shower. Breakfast room filthy - all crockery/cutlery put back on shelves with dirty mixed with clean - no tongs or anything for handling food items. Hot boiled eggs left on bench in in hygienic manner.

The lady on the front desk was lovely. Otherwise, Lakes Resort should be your LAST resort. Thick dark hairs everywhere, a partial boot mark on the bed, marks and dust around the place... Despite assurance on their website and policies about cleanliness, they are lazy and contradictory in this respect. On arrival (and nowhere else) you are told to wash your dishes and take your rubbish to the bins at the front of the property at the end of your stay. We came away for a break from these things and at $400 per night for a Studio room, I would think this was included. The bed which sunk in the middle and the bed base with an unconcealed bracket twisted under the base were the least of our problems when it came to restful sleep... It must be known as a haven for large extended families with babies/children as there are signs everywhere about noise but it made no difference. At midnight there were people calling out to one another then at the crack of dawn, adults and children alike were screaming at one another. It's worth paying more - even double - to stay anywhere else.

For what room was, it was very expensive. Also friends room wasnt ready for hours after check in & while one person cleaned, the other lay on the bed watching tv. Very dissapointing. Pool & outside area very nice. Breakfast provided but very ordinary & no teaspoons.
