10/10 Excellent

"I could not charge my phone as no usb ports & didnt bring plug as most hotels have updated ,also i found a floor with what looked like asylum seekers living there,off limits to anyone ,when i asked staff all went very quiet,these young men were all walking arond brand new clothes and were away from rest of hotel"

"They need to upgrade their fire alarm system. A known fault of the alarm going off when someone showers at 0630 on a Sunday is not welcomed. But what is more disturbing is that the alarm was cancelled within in seconds, on the basis they "knew" is was the shower. There was no way that someone physically checked two floors above reception that the cause of the alarm was a shower. Guests did not know whether to excavate or not. This needs to be addressed immediately."

New Continental Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

"I'm confused by the 10/10 reviews making New Continental Hotel out to be the Hilton. The staff were friendly and accomodating, however the room I had was small, the beds even smaller, the decor dated, the curtains from the 90s covered in cobwebs, the carpet in dire need of a clean, the TV antenna didn't work, the bathroom very basic and most surfaces in need of a coat of paint of replacing. The single pane windows kept out no noise, which due to the busy road outside was very noisy with the local boy racers and motorbikes at all hours. On the second night of my stay there was a 'footballers presentation' event downstairs, meaning lots of shouting and swearing outside the window until gone 11pm, which wasn't great for my 6 year old. The room was also like a sauna, owing to no A/C or ventilation, except the useless windows. Breakfast was ok, and I just about got into the last parking space on the Saturday night. There are better options around."

Harbour Beach Club & Hotel

"We stayed at Harbour Hotel in Padstow and ate in the restaurant two nights during our stay. Then the same for Harbour Hotel in Salcombe. if you’re looking for a food experience then Padstow wins hands down. I would rate the food in Salcombe as good but Padstow is another level or two up; perhaps it’s the Rick Stein effect………"

Westcroft Guesthouse

10/10 Excellent

"Sarah was an amazing hostess and provided the best service. Nothing was too much trouble, from tea and biscuits on arrival to coffee and hot croissants overlooking the beach this morning. It was just like holidaying with a good friend who leaves you to it, but at the same time gives the best advice about the local area. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The new accommodation, Seasong is a few doors down from Westcroft. It would be useful for Sarah to be able to contact her guests by telephone. Luckily we could ring her and quickly found it. Kingsand and the whole of the Rame peninsula is tourist and dog friendly, unspoilt and welcoming. I couldn't recommend this higher."
