Hi David,Thank you for your feedback. Since this is a Toronto Heritage Building, this hotel is known for its old aesthetic. Seems like houses built around the 1800s looked and felt just like this. Modernizing this place would not justify our initiative to preserve it as it was originally, however, we did our bit by adding current generation's bathroom fixtures for our guests. For a quieter experience, you can always book the studio room, deluxe single room, or the superior rooms where there is less distraction possibilities. Thank you and see you again!

Re the shampoo- the dispensers in the shower are filled with a “body shampoo” (hair and body). I’m sorry if this was not refilled.
