First time Expedia user (I normally stay in hotels). I have to say, this experience exceeded all my expectations: (online) communication with Margie was pleasant, precise, and prompt; surprising number amenities were included; location was central and accessible; accommodations were very well-maintained, clean, hospitable, safe and quiet. We even had a charming private terrace in the back. The price was extremely competitive. Would definitely use again. In fact, I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Toronto. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Margie!

Short stay, good location
Really good location, close to subway, quiet, no road noise..was ok for a few nights but no cupboard space for clothes..bed was really comfie but extremely noisey when moving on it, as seems there was an extra wooden base under the mattress..

Perfect Everything!
Margie is a great host. I've been staying in Toronto for the film festival for many years and this is my favorite place. I loved it so much I booked it again for next year!

Nice upscale hostel in a great neighborhood
First, the Neighborhood: A great place to be, close to the subway, shops, restaurants, and that is primarily why I chose it. The instructions to enter, etc. were clear. My room was very small and the bathroom was tiny. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Wifi was mostly good. However I would hesitate to call it a suite as there was a shared kitchen and I could hear the upstairs people walking around. I would call it an upscale hostel but it was a good value in a great neighborhood

This place was surprisingly awesome. Quaint little house. I had the lower room which had a patio to itself. It was so dark there that I had to turn on a light to find the bed (normally, I'd expect light pollution in a huge city). The row houses were gorgeous, the architecture and area are great. You're steps to Yonge and steps to Church, two VERY different experiences, but both excellent in their own right. I will be back. I loved the location, amenities, and ease of in and out. I wore earplugs because I am a late-night person--my only warning is that you do the same unless you'd want to be woken up by morning larks futzing around in the kitchen.

I stayed in the main floor room. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would have 2 nightstands on both sides of the bed instead of the large furniture she has. It would give enough space to get into the bed on either side. The bathroom connected to the bedroom is small but more than convenient as it is connected to the bedroom. I read some reviews where people complain about noise. I didn't hear anything but people walking, what I expect and didn't bother me at all. I loved it and will return at the end of the month. 5 stars.

It was a very comfortable and quiet room in a townhome with a great location in downtown Toronto. There is parking available, which I didn't use, but it is there and all kinds of amenities, a full kitchen, coffee, water, and candy. It was perfectly clean and secure, it's close to the subway and the Eaton Center, and just about every restaurant and store that there is. It's really a perfect place to stay.

Well priced, cute looking, and clean. Lovely neighbourhood and easily walkable to dining and shopping. A shame there is just 1 parking space available. Bathroom was incredibly tiny, shower needs to be cleaned of mildew. The big negative for our stay was the noise within the townhouse from other rooms. No soundproofing between walls and floors. Could hear other guests in their rooms and it was both uncomfortable and frustrating. A room on the floor above might have been quieter, but we heard every noise from everyone in the townhouse suites from the our main floor room. Aside from the lack of quiet from inside the place, it was an okay place to stay.

Small room in excellent location
I was in Toronto for a week-long conference at the Field institute. My husband travelled with me. Margie's guesthouse was spotless clean and ideally located in a very quiet area. Margie was a very attentive host, who promptly replied to any question I had. My only complaints are about the size of the room and bathroom, which were really small. The room did not have a closet, but we used one in the hallway to hang our clothes. Luckily our luggage could fit under the bed, otherwise we would not have known where to put it. The bathroom was minuscule and my husband, who is very tall, could hardly get in and out there. However, our stay was altogether pleasant and if we go back to Toronto we will book at Margie's again.

It was in a great location. And the facilities were very nice and convenient. Nice to have the variety of teas and coffees to pick from. Odd little things made it not a 5 star. Only one dish cloth in the kitchen and it was terribly stained and not changed for 4 days. Some paper towels would have helped us not to have to use the dish cloth. There were none there either. The outside front porch light didn't seen to work. Dark returning at night. All in all a 4+ air B&B

The property was nice and the host was quite accommodating to our odd schedule. The interior was nicely finished and had a nice common space and kitchenette. The loft room was a great open space that was great for our little family. We would definitely stay here again.

Quaint property in a nice neighborhood
I stayed in the room next to the kitchen, which had a lovely little sitting patio connected by a sliding glass door. I relaxed out there with my coffee in the morning - it was gorgeous. I could barely hear the cars or city. The neighborhood seemed safe and was in close walking distance to a variety of different things. The room was clean and coffee was provided by a keurig in the kitchen. The room also had face wash, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, and body wash. There was also water provided with complimentary snacks and a hairdryer. The bed was comfy. I met a woman - I’m not sure if she was the owner, but she was delightful. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

The bed mattress was firm, but didn't offer as much support as one would think. It sinks a bit despite feeling solid. Also older bed frame squeaks a bit. Also, While the front door lock feels very secure, the inner door for the separate loft I rented didn't seem particularly secure. It was clean and had plenty of places to sit.

Fantastic place to stay in the city centre
This location is excellent and easy to walk all over downtown Toronto. It’s a little oasis in the city with a peaceful space and amenities such a delicious coffee and a basic kitchen for convenience.
