I spent $345 for a one-night stay and there was no hot water in the shower. After informing the front desk while checking out, I was told to contact the manager. Said manager mentioned that since I didn’t call the front desk to get a room change, he has no record and doesn’t offer any compensation.
First night was put in room with strong smell of room deodorizer. Had to move in the middle of the night since couldn’t sleep. New room was much better in terms of smell but temperature control did not work. Had to use duvet from both beds to stay warm. Did not have time to change rooms since I had a busy schedule. Was moved to a much lower floor. Loud noises/people in hallway late at night. Last night was worst with drunk individual screaming at the top of his lungs. Not the best experience I have had with Holiday Inn. Had much better stays in the past.
Upon arrival of my room, I had to make sure that I had got a bathtub and we went into the room and it was tiny and dirty. We called and they switched us to a new room and they didn’t accommodate us With the bathtub so we had to move again to another room. The parking could not accommodate our vehicle so we had to park it outside and hope it didn’t get stolen . Horrible service and completely unacceptable
The property was well maintained and updated, and the staff was very nice and helpful. However, elevators and hallways small and cramped, and the room was tiny and hard to move around. Beds uncomfortable and sheets showed some dirt. Bathrooms very small as well.
So close to everything we went to in downtown Toronto - within walking distance. Staff are very pleasant, helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was very good and service was fast and efficient. We intend to stay here again.
Good location, but guest room maintenence is poor with a bathroom sink with barely enough water pressure to dribble out and there are so few elevators that I waited for 20 minutes with my luggage and watched an elevator come and go every few minutes stuffed like d sardine can and gave up after 20 minutes and hauled my luggage down 8 flights of stairs.
I liked that this hotel was in an area near all the attractions and public transport. I did not like that the hotel doesn't take debit cards, cash, or prepaid cards and instead only takes certain major credit cards.
Holiday inn’s underground parking is a real pain. Not only I have to validate it everyday, half of the time after I validated is not working. Buzzer by the gate is not working. We have also been given wrong info. One of the front desk attendant said that we could use the same ticket to get out for the duration of our stay which is 5 days, that couldn’t be more wrong. Wasted a lot of our time.
