"We really enjoyed our stay there. To be honest, we were a bit skeptical at first since the streets outside seemed a bit run down and we realized that this is more of a local tourists spot and we were likely the only foreigners there with none of the staff speaking English. However, the staff’s friendliness and the raw beauty of the beach really changed our opinion. All the staff had friendly smiles and were patient with us as we used a translate app to explain what we need. The food was also really delicious. You can tell that all the ingredients are fresh. We especially enjoyed the breakfast where the waiters would come around with various extra fresh juices & smoothies and snacks beyond what’s in the buffet. I already miss the fruits in the buffet as they were always fresh and delicious! Staying in Recife now in a more commercial hotel and the fruits there are just not the same :( Walks on the beach just after sunrise were also very relaxing. While the city center is full of interesting shops and restaurants, we felt a bit uncomfortable as the only foreigners there that really stood out so we stuck to staying at the hotel area and enjoyed a relaxing two days.
