I recently stayed at OMO5 Tokyo Gotanda by Hoshino Resorts, and it was a fantastic experience that balanced comfort, convenience, and style. The hotel is ideally situated right between Gotanda and Osaki JR Stations, offering excellent access to multiple train lines, including the Yamanote Line, which makes exploring Tokyo incredibly easy. Just minutes on foot from either station, it’s perfect for both business and leisure travelers. The surrounding Gotanda area is a hidden gem for food lovers, boasting a wide array of eateries—from traditional Japanese izakayas and ramen shops to trendy cafés and international options. There's no shortage of late-night dining or quick bites, and the neighborhood retains a local, laid-back charm despite being well-connected.
The hotel itself is sleek and modern, with rooms that are compact but cleverly designed, featuring warm wood accents and large windows. I was lucky enough to get a room with a view of Mount Fuji, which was an unforgettable highlight of my stay. The 14th-floor sky lounge offers panoramic city views and a relaxing atmosphere, while the café serves both Japanese-style breakfasts (like onigiri sets) and Western options in a casual, self-service setting.
