"It’s an interesting place in an amazing setting. We found the room to be very small with no place to sit but the view from the little deck was stunning. The breakfast buffet was good though it was pretty much unchanged in the three days we were there. The adjacent beaches are excellent and the trail to Tonquin Beach from Middle Beach is a must do. Ask about the stairs if mobility is an issue."

"We loved our stay at the Blackrock resort. We rented the studio condo and it was modern, well equipped, and comfortable. We were lucky to have a view from our couch but not all of these units have views. The Currents restaurant was very good and the lounge had a fantastic view of the water. Wished I had brought my swimsuit for the pool and jacuzzi. The staff were great. Plus close to beautiful trails. Could have stayed another day to enjoy the resort."

"View of the ocean from suite 3 was very nice. Close to everything and comfy bed and pillows. We liked the table and chairs on the decent sized patio and enjoyed breakfast outside. Very nice one night stay in Tofino. Buy bag of ice from the cold beer and wine store a block away to keep drinks cold in the sink because they have no fridge as you already know"

"We totally enjoyed our stay at the bird sanctuary. In the morning, we sat outside on the deck and watched mostly the hummingbirds. It was so quiet and a great getaway. Ken pointed out some of the interesting places to hike and to eat on the island. We hiked at the lighthouse, the rainforest and the beaches. Had some delicious seafood."
