"It was extremely difficult to check out. They do not have the facilities for customers to use a credit card. The girl at the front desk is nice but she is over worked; she cooks, cleans, wait tables and acts as thr receptionist too. The room was not ready at 3:30. The owner does not have much understanding about working with Expedia.com. He spoke to me rudely on phone and I do not think he and his staff are properly trained in hotel buisness. It was a mess at the checkout time and they insisted...

"First of all, when I went to 'Palugaha pilgrim resort' it was locked. Even the mobile was not reachable. I had booked this thro' Expedia. Fortunately the auto rickshaw driver was knowledgeable about the place so took us to a nearby place. This did not have any name but there was someone to entertain us. He claimed that was the Palugaha resort & also said there was no intimation from Expedia reg my booking. However, he was kind enough to arrange the room for us. After that, everything was fine....

"We stayed at Serenity for a night to do a safari at Yala. We had a lovely stay, the room was very clean and nice, with a comfortable bed and nice shower. The staff was very lovely and friendly. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel which were both very tasty. We didn't get to use the gym or swimming pool since we were staying for so little time, but it looked really nice. I would definitely recommend!"
