"Breakfast, the milk was dated June 4 and it was on June 4. I was looking for a best before date that was newer, and the breakfast staff brought me 1 milk out from the kitchen. Breakfast today, Sat June 6, milk was dated old and sour. Yewwwww"

"Fully functioning suit, clean, comfortable beds, quiet and easy access to the building. We enjoyed our stay here, and we'll definitely be back whenever we are in Thunder Bay."

"Right on a main road so lots of traffic noise. People wandering through the parking lot in the middle of the night hooting and hollering. Seems to have some full time tenants but not 100% sure"

"Extremely run down. The room was ok, (less a very creaky chair) but soap bar was still in the bathroom from the last guest. Makes one wonder how poorly the rest was cleaned."

"It’s close to the airport, making it convenient for people who are travelling. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times before because it’s slightly more affordable than others. My recent stay was not as enjoyable due to noise. I was on the first floor and was frequently disturbed by interior and exterior noise. Walls are not soundproof at all."

"Loved this hotel. The location was great - very walkable. We had fish and chips at the restaurant and I think it was the best I have ever had. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Very enjoyable stay."

"Room was updated from the last time i was there. This would ne my 4th time stsying st the valhalla. Good rates compared to other hotels. Rooms clean spacious.. Only a little noisy with the airport close by. I had asked for a room on the front facing side to lessen the noise but was given a room directly facing the airport. After 11pm less flights made it quieter... Overall recommend would stay again. Parking free lots of room.. Thank you"

"Room was nice and clean...looks like it was renovated not too long ago. The common areas need work, especially the entrance. Good breakfast included bacon, eggs and potato's."

"Check-in was a breeze. Rooms were great and staff members were super friendly. Breakfast was yummy and the cook was accommodating and cooked my 8 year old a few more eggs & bacon before it was over."

"We booked the Executive Queen Suite. Room was very clean. Loved having the bedroom separate from the living room. Air conditioner units in both rooms! You can tell the hotel is actively upgrading their rooms/bathrooms which is great. We also enjoyed have a Lake view! Breakfast in the restaurant was awesome! Staff were great - welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would stay again!"
