"Well, although there was a booking issue and I was unable to check in as they close the office after 9 PM I have to say I got an excellent response from Lauren the next morning. The third party booking glitch was explained and they are working to resolve this for future customers. Lauren provided excellent customer service and assured a prompt refund. "This place is wonderful. Each room is unique and fun. We stayed in the Victorian room. I thoroughly enjoyed soaking in the tub, warming up by the fire and access to our own balcony. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was tasty. The hosts are lovely and really spend time getting to know the guests or leaving you alone, whichever you prefer. The room was very clean. "Great, charming old house with loads of personality! With SO much schtuff and numerous nicknacks everywhere, it was surprising that it was as clean as it was; not spotless mind you, but clean enough that we didn’t worry. The breakfast wasn’t bad as it was home cooked. Because there were just a few guests staying at the same time as us, the main food was limited but that was not a surprise. Still, there were other standard options: cereals and bagels, etc. Most importantly, the coffee WAS hot!"
