"Get an upfront insight into the impact of the volcano eruption in the town of Grindavik. These modern “cabins” (more like tiny houses) face the harbor and are beautiful! The town was evacuated in 2024 due to the earthquakes and lava flow (which you drive right through). It’s amazing topography and you can get a sense of what the people from town went through. We love Icelanders, they are warm, hearty and kind. "

"We loved our stay. We had almost everything we needed! The location is great and we seen the northern lights 3 out of our 6 nights. The owners let us check in a bit early and were so kind! The only downside was there is no washer. We packed extremely light because the listings said there was one. It was a bit inconvenient, but we managed. The owner was very apologetic ans even offered to do our laundry. Regardless, we loved staying here."

Hard to sleep, noisy but room is clean & new

"Decor of the room is sleek, new design, no aircond, need to open up window for cold air to come in. The problems are in between walls no soundproof. I could hear my upstairs running jumping after 11pm. My next wall tv noise, other side wall talkg. At 1am +, i was awaken by noises chasing northern lights outside my windows."
