SAFARI DELIGHT

What a great find! The staff, the room, the Inn were all wonderful. The staff made sure we were happy. Only accepts cash. The bed was comfortable. The room was spacious with a large bathroom and a shared upstairs patio.. Great venue for safari to Yala.

Affordable rooms hosted by lovely family

We only stayed one night but everything was great. The room was clean and with everything we needed. The area is quiet and perfect to relax. The host family is soooo friendly, they want to make sure you have the best stay possible. In the end they offered us water, mangos and coconuts. Thank you so much for you kindness!!! I would recommend La safari inn 100%. Ps: they can arrange safari tours:-)

Loud talking by neighbors in the common area until about 2am and the owners didn’t do anything about it. It was quite a nuisance when we had to wake up at 4:30am for the safari.

Bra boende om man ska på safari

Riktigt fint boende, perfekt om man baea ska atanna och åka på safari. Annars kändes lite utanför, var långt att gå till butiker/restauranger. Men dom lagade god mat på hotellet, så det var ingeb fara. Stor toalett, bra wifi, skön säng. Finns inget att klaga på förutom en personal som var lite väl hetsig, men ändå trevlig och fixade de vi ville ha

Staff, especially Anuradha, were very friendly and helpful. One of the best rooms we stayed in Sri Lanka, and we are staying in about 9 hotels over 21 days! Hot water, AC, delicious welcome drink, peach liquid soap, hammocks, balcony, greenery, tranquil, marble floors and spacious! Great value for money and enjoyed the full day safari tour and on site restaurant food. They also arranged for us to be dropped off in time to get the only direct daily bus to Ella that leaves at 8:20 am with their free tuk-tuk service.

Very hot night. Ceiling fan doesn’t seem to spin cool air. Mosquitoes are everywhere and inside the room. We got bitten so badly and didn’t sleep a wink. Couldn’t wait to leave this place

Budget hotel with a very kind host

Very kind and service minded host. Considering the price for the room I couldn't ask for more in terms of room standard. I had a glitchy power outlet, I guess that would be my only complaint regarding the room. The hotel is a little remote, about a 15 minute walk from the main street in Tissa. Overall I would recommend this hotel. Never tried the hotel restaurant.

Wir wären gerne länger geblieben....

Sehr saubere und große Zimmer und eine herrliche Terrasse inmitten eines schönen Gartens. Wildtierbeobachtung (u.a. Affen und Flughunde) inklusive. Das Essen war sehr gut und das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Safaris zum Yala NP können direkt vor Ort gebucht werden und starten vom Hotel aus.

Comfortable guesthouse with great staff and food.

The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and organised a couple of safaris (Yala and Bundala) for us, which both worked out really well, especially Bundala. The food was very good - breakfast and dinner - which was useful because there’s nowhere else to eat locally. Reasonably priced food too. The large upstairs verandah/balcony was a great place to escape the heat and rest after the early morning starts. The only drawback was the WiFi, which was slow at best and often broken after it had rained heavily. Could probably be fixed by adding a booster or another router closer to the rooms.
