1. Temple Square

Salt Lake Temple, with its towering spires, is the centrepiece of Temple Square. This temple is of central importance to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), as well as being of huge interest to visitors who are keen to learn about the area's history and who appreciate its stunning architecture. Other buildings likely to attract include the Tabernacle building, the central office of the Mormon faith, the Mormon Pioneer Memorial and Beehive House. The 14 hectares of Temple Square also contain green gardens and vibrant flowerbeds, making it a pleasant hangout spot in the summertime. 4. Salt Lake Temple

Salt Lake Temple is the largest temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) in the world. It took a total of 39 years to construct, and due to the fact that it is sacred to followers of the Mormon faith, it is not open to other members of the public. Despite this, its ornate exterior is an excellent reason for people of other religions, or indeed none, to come and visit. The South Visitor’s Center contains lots of further information about the history of the temple and various aspects of Mormon beliefs, along with photographs of its interior.
