A Basílica é muito bonita e majestosa. No exterior tem estátuas de quatro apóstolos e painéis com diversos momentos da vida de cristo. Os vitrais, no interior, mostram cenas das aparições de Nossa Senhora aos pastorinhos. É na Basílica que estão os restos mortais destes pastores (Francisco, Jacinta e Lúcia).

The stained-glass windows in the interior show scenes of the apparitions of Our Lady to the little shepherds. It is in the Basilica that are the remains of these shepherds (Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia).
