2. Four Mile Beach
Four Mile Beach is the main beach in Port Douglas and, as its name suggests, the sandy stretch runs for about four miles (6.5 kilometers). At the southern end of this pristine beach is a mangrove forest and the northern end features a hill with a lookout point, a great place to see the sunrise over the Coral Sea.

3. Sugar Wharf
Each luxury yacht or sailing catamaran going out to the Great Barrier Reef or coming back to port passes the historic structure of the Sugar Wharf on the Dickson Inlet. This once weathered landmark for sailors heading for Port Douglas has been upgraded and is now an extremely popular venue for weddings over the water.
