My cousins took us out on Rainy Lake. Many of the small islands still contain remnants of gold mines from the late 1800s and early 1900s started by some of the first fur trappers in the area.
Once you reach the top of the peak where the bench is you have to continue to walk for another 20 or so minutes to reach this area. It's not hidden so as you continue through various open areas you will just have to keep going until you arrive.
