During a 4 day Scuba Diving Live-aboard trip at the Similan Islands, we had a chance to relax for a few hours in this beautiful bay with the stunning beach. The picture was taken just below a huge rock that resembles a sail. So the island is often referred to Sail Rock Island.

Hiked up to the viewpoint at Sail Rock on Similan Island. The water is so crystal clear turquoise it's unbelievable. There's a little snorkeling here but be careful, the shallows are very rocky and several people were sporting cuts on their feet afterwards.
This is island number 8 in the Similan national park, 70km from Khao Sok, North of Phuket.
Great for diving, the Similan islands are some of the most beautiful in South East Asia. Speedboat ride can be bumpy and wet, it takes 90 minutes to reach this uninhabited paradise.
