"The property is beautiful with fun shops to explore and wonderful restaurants to enjoy with both indoor and outdoor seating. My husband and I took the gondola to the top where we enjoyed the views and a hike. When it was time to check-in to the hotel the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful offering advice on breakfast options. This part of the trip was 5 starts. "I spent 5 wonderful nights at the Plumpjack Inn with my two dogs. Everyone was warm and welcoming. The hotel is lovely, the am coffee is superb, and the space is so peaceful and serene. The last time I had visited was in 2015. I will definitely be back. The caring of the staff and the ability to enjoy the hotel with your dog make this a magical space. I cannot recommend it enough."

"This is a moderately priced place with excellent location in the middle of Tahoe city and across the street from an excellent beach. Rooms are small and there is a closet w a few hangers and no drawers so if you have kids you’re stuff will be everywhere. We were there three nights. The room wasn’t serviced while we were there so maybe you have to ask them to clean it and for extra towels etc. Pillows were pretty bad. Ac kept it pretty cool. "We loved our stay at Basecamp in Tahoe City. We loved the theme of exploring. Our room was very clean and the property has been well maintained. My only complaint was that the shower could use some maintenance. It was totally usable, but could use some maintenance. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. We would totally stay here again."

"The girl at the front desk was very helpful and attentive. The property was old. Our room smelled terrible. The drain in the shower was plugged and caused a horrible smell. There was one tiny bar of soap for 2 of us to use for 2 days. Only blinds on window, no curtains and people could see in room. 10 min walk to shoreline at bwach."

"The property is centrally located clean and comfortable. I guess I was there kind of off season visiting a relative in Truckee. But I would call it very reasonably priced and conveniently located.
