Fingal Head, just South of the Qld border in NSW, is a great place to watch sunrise, sunset and stargaze. It can all be done with the lighthouse in mind. Fun nights can also be had with light painting whilst waiting to see if the stars are optimal. Whatever you do at Fingal Head, you'll come away having enjoyed yourself.

"Easily 30 mins of mountain road on the drive up but friendly drivers who didn't tailgate made the drive up bearable. Room was old and without tv but spotlessly clean. Lots of free activities, restaurant has the most amazing food despite the location and a slightly higher than normal price. Definitely eat at the restaurant for dinner but watch out for their friendly parrots who would sit with you and eat your food. We booked a 2d1n and should have stayed at least a day more.
