"The deferred maintenance is obvious throughout the property. Showers and “hot” tubs were cold. The toilets ran non stop and when we were told someone would come to take a look, no one showed up. Water to the building was shutoff during peak hours on our first day.
My wife had to work from the room and was constantly interrupted by construction above us.
The property is way overpriced and there are much better options in Myrtle Beach. Definitely keep scrolling for better options!

"Hotel was dirty, pools rusty, dirty floors in hotel rooms, dirty elevators, carpets dirty and very old, balcony old and walls undone, rails to balcony looked unsafe when reported to front desk they didn’t care, hotel Dominican side was deplorable, owners don’t care about their guest because it shows in the upkeep. We tried to stay out of that resort as much as possible. We did not use the pools at all they were filthy to say the least. Very unpleasant stay, but for the child we tried to make the best of a horrible first time to Myrtle Beach experience. We won’t be coming back. Not there anyways. Waste of money and time.oh and the furniture was dirty with a substance on it that they didn’t care to clean nor replace. I’m totally lost at how they don’t care. Staff attitudes and all. "
"Our room wasn’t ready at check in time, room floors were very dirty, bathroom was extremely small, walkways to rooms outside were very dirty with garbage and some food in the same location not cleaned up for 3 days. Pools has sand and debris floating in them. "
"Big full service hotel with lots of amenities and a great staff. Recently became a Hilton, was a Marriott property for many years. Shows its age in a few way, but renovations are underway…with some more investments to update the property it could be fantastic. Overall, solid value. Indoor pool and spa, sauna was a highlight during Spring Break. "
"We had a good stay at Compass Cove. The units are getting a bit tired looking, but overall, we had fun and our room overlooked the beach, as promised. We had a couple minor issues with our room and the front desk dealt with them quickly. The corridors can be noisy at times and noise from above rooms is noticable. Next time, we'll look for something quieter, north of all the hoopla."
"Ok I will be completely honest, do not I repeat do not look at the picture's. Take the pictures and add about 15 years worth of age on top of it. First and foremost the setup of the resort is very confusing. There is two separate buildings far apart from each other and there is no telling what building you are in until you check in. And in the second building there is no staff to help you so if you need help you have to go way down the road to get it. Secondly what’s presented in the pictures is just not the case anymore. The building is old and worn down and needs maintenance badly. As far as the rooms, we had the two bedroom suite in the second building. parking was good and ample. The room was clean and had everything you need. The beds were horrible and need to be replaced the glass doors did not lock so if you have little kids I had to constantly make sure mine weren’t on the balcony by themselves because the doors wouldn’t lock. The location was good but it took them a while to find my Expedia reservation and at first was trying to get me to repay it and cancel on Expedia. All in all I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 my family enjoyed themselves sleep was rough but hey what can I expect for spring break. If money is tight this will be ample but if it’s not I would look at better alternatives. "
