    Excllent views right on esplanade

    Clean, spacious, good one way system in place too. Polite, friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. Really enjoy our few days, beautiful sea view from our room

    None of the photos or descriptions of the annex building are displayed here online and are rather misleading. The Annex building Is I fact a 2* Grade 11 listed building and not the 4* that’s advertised. As we were only staying 1 night and arrived late complaining would have been more hassle than the worth of it. The accommodation was very out dated and very hot with no ventilation making the stay rather uncomfortable. Despite this I will say the room was very clean. The Location was really good however at a very pricey £84 for a 2* stay I’m not sure I would recommend or return.

    t does what it says on the tin!

    Spotless clean with fantastic staff. The double sea view room is only suitable for one person and there is only a floppy folding screen between the bedroom and bathroom that doesn't offer any privacy. The bed was very comfortable with clean white bed linen and towels. Coffee and tea making is available in the room. The view is fantastic but don't expect to get a chair on the overcrowded beach front terrace. The hotel is open to the public which meant that the "all day drinkers" who weren't staying in the hotel took every available space in the sun. Very disappointed in this. The inside beer garden which is lovely was also taken over by non residents which made sitting outside in the sun virtually impossible. By the time the non-residents moved on, it was too late to sit outside. The hotel is very welcoming to dogs which is why we chose it. It is only a two star hotel, so don't expect luxury. The staff really do make up for the faded grandeur of this hotel. Would I stay again? Yes, but only if I was taking the dog with me.

    Tenby stay, early Sept 2020

    Handy location for town and the beaches, just a shame the condition of the hotel was a bit dated and badly in need of a make over, some of which is due in october this year so I was told. The staff were friendly enough and helpful, shame with the virus there was no entertainment on offer.

    Woukd definitely stay here again

    We had a 3 night stay at The Clarence Hotel. The location is fabulous and we had a balcony room overlooking the seafront. The hotel rooms were very clean but a little beat, the bed was huge but not the most comfortable unfortunately. Overall it was fine, friendly staff and would definitely stay there again. We didn’t eat there as breakfast was quite early for us .

    Replacement booking at short notice

    Had to move hotels as the first place we stayed at was dirty and rundown. This place was wonderful and staff on on Reception so helpful

    Corridor stay

    I know it was a last minute decision to visit and availability scarce but to get a tiny room in a corner which was part of the end of a fire escape corridor route was something else. The green route light was on throughout so at night was very disconcerting. The room was about as far from reception as you could get and I daresay I could have complained whilst there but simply could not be bothered for the few days as my husband is elderly and not in robust health. A room move, if possible, would have been another nuisance. The evening meal on the one evening we dined in was of canteen standard and overpriced but it saved going out in the rain! Having said all that the garden was pleasant, the bar convenient and well stocked. The staff pleasant and the oversea front balcony area lovely on the couple of sunny days we had so not all bad. It’s not too far from the town centre too. Old style, slightly run down hotel which did the best it could in general with the covid rules but would not return.

    Happy place

    Last minute short stay booking . Stormy one day nxt we got a suntan. Clarence House was welcoming and Happy place. We got just what we paid for. Great place in a lovely spot . Will return hopefully in the non to distant future.

    Room was as expected for a 2* hotel. Clean and set up was suitable for our family. It did the job. Reception staff were absolutely lovely and couldn’t have done more. We opted for breakfast which was pretty awful for the price- made more terrible by the staff who spent most of our time in there whispering and pointing in our direction (we have a 2 year old son who needs cajoling to feed, he wasn’t being noisy or badly behaved). We were disappointed and upset by their attitude. I would say that if you have children- avoid the restaurant at all times.

    Lovely big apartment, plenty of room. Bed settees are too small for two and it could do with some ventilation other than the patio doors. That said, the ceiling fans are very good and it was a particularly warm night. On the whole a good room with plenty of space. The rooms above with views over the bay would be just right?

    Cosy quaint hotel

    I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, the staff were lovely and very helpful and went out of their way to be friendly and handled all the new covid guidelines professionally. The facilities were good with a dining room for breakfast and dinner, and a beer garden out front overlooking the coast and out back behind the bar. I stayed in a single room which was adequate enough with a good shower, kettle for tea and a reasonably comfy bed. Also I have to mention the location which was amazing overlooking Tenby and beyond, I highly recommend this place and will be back again 100% keep up the good work guys

    Lovely hotel but the 4th floor has no air whatsoev

    We booked last minute and were pleased to get into a hotel at a great location. However booking last minute meant we had the worst rooms. On level 4 where there was no air. All of us literally slept in nothing as it was so warm. Lovely hotel and I would go back but would book early and check if the room wasn’t on the forth floor.

    Long weekend stay

    Such a beautiful place. We had a lovely stay in the annex across the road, spotlessly clean and very modern. Staff in the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. We booked one extra night As we loved it so much but stayed in the hotel as the annex had been booked already, asked for a sea view which we got. Room was a bit dated but comfortable and the view was fabulous. Bed was comfortable and spotlessly clean again. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you so much for a great weekend.

    What we expected from a 2 star hotel, due to COVID there was also no food available, no rooms cleaned, bins emptied or towels replaced. They also had their bar open to the public which substantially increased the volume of visitors to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and happy to help though.
