"Absolutely stellar hotel! Definitely worth the price. Beautiful renovated rooms, great bar/restaurant, and the sauna was a nice bonus. The breakfast was the best we had in any hotel, the view really does look like the pictures, and all of the personnel was incredibly helpful and welcoming! Easy walk to the metro and major attractions, too, though that does mean you'll hear the Athens traffic pretty much 24/7 (nothing good earplugs won't fix). For the very best first impression of Athens, my husband and I highly recommed this! We also had some lovely VIP gifts waiting for us in the room. It was a little chilly in April for the outdoor pool on the rooftop, but it looked really cute. We'll have to go back at some point!"

"The staff is very nice, but the property is definitely not worth the price. We had issues with the AC unit, which they tried to tell us if they can the central AC was not turned on. Did not make any sense. We didn’t sleep at all as it was very hot in our room. We also had issues with the construction outside our hotel. The location is extremely loud so you can forget about sleeping as there is a very loud restaurant right outside the hotel door blasting music until all hours of the night. The photos of this hotel are very deceiving online. It is definitely not luxurious. For the money I spent, I am very disappointed in the accommodations. Save yourself some money and stay elsewhere! "

"Loved everything. Room was large with lots of storage. Situated on a quiet courtyard with small balcony and Acropolis view. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, mini fridge, espresso machine. Staff was great. Rooftop restaurant/bar had excellent food and a magnificent view of Acropolis. Lovely pool and outdoor dining area in courtyard. Good service and snacks in bar. Great buffet breakfast daily. Nothing to complain about at all. Everything was great."

"The Astor is an 8 minute walk with a 23kg bag from the blue train line at Syntagma station to the front reception desk. It has a fabulous view of the Acropolis at the breakfast area. There are two convenience stores within 100 metres of the front reception desk. There are numerous bakeries and coffees shops aswell very nearby. Breakfast is very decent. I would rate the hotel value for money and very well positioned for a few days in this ancient capital. "
