El lugar es muy bonito en sus alrededores, sentimos que la habitación no está adecuadamente equipada para cocinar (a los sartenes se les pega la comida, no hay escurridor de platos, solo hay un limpión para secar platos para toda la estadia). Algunas veces para lograr que se nos atendiera de forma adecuada al whatsapp de las catalinas teniamos que enviar varios mensajes a diferentes momentos para que se ejecutara la petición. En general, fue una buena experiencia, solo esos dos detalles que cambiaria

this property was extremely dirty and neglected we would rent again in this community but not this property very disappointing especially given the expensive rate

The specific unit we stayed in was really nice and spacious with a great view of the ocean. So was the overall complex. However, the owner can pay more attention to details such as the condition of the appliances (dishwasher wasn’t operational) and basic amenities such as a roll of paper towel or a box of Kleenex that rental apartments typically have.

Las Catalinas could be lovely. But there is so much construction going on at all hours that it is far from peaceful and almost impossible to sleep. The presence of the construction and the car free requirements (you must valet your car) make it very hard to get in and out of the community (30 minutes at a time to pickup the car unless you tip lavishly), making you hostage to eating at only their very expensive restaurants during your stay. The accommodations themselves are otherwise quite nice, and the beach is lovely too. But they need to deal with the gridlock and the construction noise.

Amazing property…. Gorgeous location that is truly a hidden gem. Just wish they included more family activity options (plenty of things to pay extra for)…. But a basketball hoop with no basketball for example isn’t very helpful. More beach activities included in the price would’ve been great, although paying the $15pp for the beach club ended up being worth it for our group.

My stay at Las Catalinas Collection was the perfect end to my month of travels in Costa Rica. The property was pristine and the concierge services were superior. I would definitely return and recommend to anyone. Las Catalinas is a must visit if coming to Costa Rica. It was my fourth time visiting the town, and I had always wanted to stay, so this first for me was extra special and I can’t wait to return for a future visit.

Amazing property in Guanacaste, Costa Rica
This is a beautiful place for couples or a family. You can do a romantic dinner at Sentido Norte - kids not allowed. There are other options like Pot & Bowls, Ponciana, or Papagayo brewery. Beach club food isn't bad either, however, you will have to pay extra for access. I recommend, if you are staying for at least 5 days and have a car, to buy groceries at a supermarket so you can do your own cooking. The on-site gourmet market is very expensive. Lastly, the description/ad states "ocean view", and there isn't ocean view access from the villa. You aren't too far away though. The pictures below are from the beach club, and the restaurant Sentido Norte. Make sure you make reservations far in advance, or you will not find seats at the restaurant. Overall, we would visit and stay again.

Wow wow wow! What a beautiful place! We stayed for 2 days and nights in one of the very comfortable flats/condos. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. Never needed to leave the property for anything. Plenty of restaurant and activity options. The grocery, the beach, and opportunities to stroll the beautiful, walkable streets of town. And don't miss the sunsets at the fabulous Stentido Norte restaurant, voted one of the most romantic restaurants in the world.

Beautiful Location! False Info On Rooms
We were traveling with another couple and booked a deluxe 2 bedroom (1 king, 1 queen), 2 full bathrooms, a large full size kitchen, outdoor covered patio with dining set, outdoor kitchen area, ocean view and private plunge pool. When we checked in they took us to a room and it was a very small room, no patio, no plunge pool, no ocean view, 1 king room, 1 built-in bunkbed set, 1 shared bathroom the size of a tiny coat closet, and was at the backside of the property not near the beach. I don't know if this is a hotel.com problem or if the property poorly manages the units. I was lucky I printed off everything including the hotels.com pictures of the unit when I booked it. They did move us to another larger unit (not the one we had), however it still didn't have a plunge pool and was at the far side of the property. It was disappointing because it took most of the day for them to figure it out and we didn't get our room or luggage until after 5pm. So a large part of our day was spent on that and not starting our vacation. The room we were given also didn't have wifi. Which usually isn't a big deal, however if you want to plan any activities, look up places to eat, directions, make calls or text/share photos, no wifi becomes a problem. Even though we let the desk know, IT didn't come until our last day and it still didn't work. When you do the select room option in the booking section, be sure to print and keep everything to save yourself problems/charges later.

Disliked: Beach club closes too early 6pm, store closes too early, check out was too early 10am and not communicated or on info sheet, no town map, shower head in room was not working, room was in main traffic path and didn't feel private, Casa Chameleon restaurant made a big deal about dress code then didn't enforce it as nobody else followed it.

Might buy a place here!
Last minute choice, an hour from from Liberia airport. Wow, what a property - felt like we were in Europe, beautiful architecturally designed community. Beach was perfect, small, sandy, clean warm water. Pools were nice. We rented a condo with it’s own plunge pool on the balcony and a a partial ocean view. It was superb. Husband wants to buy a place here in las catalinas.

Beautiful Apartment in Plaza Carlota 36
Beautiful rooftop with barbecue and ocean view. The rooms were very comfortable, great beds and premium linens. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The only downside for us with a baby were the stairs. The concierge was very helpful!! Excellent service. The quesadillas at the beach club were delicious!

Great place to visit in Costa Rica
Its location is amazing. Three minutes walk to the beach. very safe. It was not crowed. The only problem was that it did not come wth cable TV and I was traveling with my adolescent son. At the end things work well.

Great beach location getaway, secluded
We had a 1 bedroom unit with sofa bed and kitchen. Facilities were great, awesome beach, snorkeling. Front desk reception was good. Its not walking distance to activities or amenities, there are restaurants and a restaurant onsite but you'll need to take a taxi or shuttle to the nearest town. Restaurants were expensive, service was terrible and not the greatest options

Unbelievable service and resort
This place exceeded all of our expectations. I definitely recommend and plan to go back. The room itself was plenty nice but nothing exceptional, however the grounds were unbelievable. I love the Tuscany style, the walking paths, the pools, and all the activity options. Having Pure Vida Ride on-site was a game changer for us. We went biking, boogie boarding, sea kayaking, hiking, snorkeling...so much to do right from the resort. We stayed a lot of different places in Costa Rica but las Catalinas was definitely our favorite. The pictures do not begin to do justice.

Las Catalinas was amazing. It’s this quint little community that is like being in a Tuscan Village! All the little winding streets and secret little passages make it really special. It sits right on the beach. The on-site grocery store made it so convenient. Everyone at the property remembers and calls you by your name when you see them. We will DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN!

AMAZING
I can NOT say enough great things about Las Catalinas. The full staff at Las Catalinas (front desk, valets, restaurant staff, house keeping) ALL made our trip a WONDERFUL experience. Everyone is friendly and helpful. This property is safe, clean and the service is exceptional. We can't wait to visit again!!

Very comfortable accommodations, staff super helpful and friendly. Clean rooms and bathrooms, WiFi available. Restaurants ok food, a little overpriced for quality. We had construction noise next to our apartment and resort manager was able to move us to another house away from noise. Nice trails. Beautiful beach.

Nice but a bit pricey and small bed
The hotel is nice, but the room said queen sized bed and the bed seemed like it had a queen sized base but a full sized mattress. It was small, but comfortable. Other than that it was very clean and nice. They put fruit in our fridge which was a awesome touch. The restaurant eas delicious and the staff is friendly. I do feel the hoterl is a bit overpriced, but we were happy with the stay. I recommend.

We picked Las Catalinas for proximity to the beach, airport, and scuba. (All within an hour). The innovative property, with it's Sorrento / 500 yr old Spanish city feel is unique. Restaurants were very good and drinks were creative and tasty. Concierge and staff are top notch and professional to a T. Everyone goes out of their way to know your name. As the property expands, there is construction, but we were never there during the day. 4 lane 25m pool, and large workout center also put this property high on our list.

It's about what you'd expect from a cheap hotel chain like this. The rooms are clean but it's in a loud neighborhood and the breakfast was very simple and plain (basically just cereal and toast).

Su arquitectura es muy distintiva y el entorno es hermoso. Pero el restaurante del supermercado cierra a las nueve, lo que puede resultar menos divertido para algunos jóvenes a los que les gusta la vida nocturna.
