check in was quick and valet were friendly. there was no wait ever when we needed our vehicle. the pillows were really weak, but the beds were comfy. the steam room was out of service and when one pays close to a grand nightly and counts on all amenities to be operational and usable, it’s really frustrating when they aren’t. we asked for some essential oils so that we could use them in our stream shower, since we couldn’t use the hotel steam room, but they were not accommodating in the least, & offered to sell some to us. how cheap! it demonstrates how little customer service matters to them. the outdoor hot tub was never above 100, which is also disappointing. especially when it’s really cold out. hot tubs should be at 102-106. we mentioned this, and asked them to turn the temp up, but were told they’d let engineering know, but i doubt they did, bc it takes little time to heat up a few degrees & it was 99 degrees the next time we went to enjoy it. due to the fact that the establishment didn’t value us as guests, we would certainly stay elsewhere in the future.

Questionable concierge service

Upon arrival at parking garage we we greeted, both men very great. One offered us a tour of the hotel, which I advise everyone to take. He was very friendly and did an exceptional job. We were early and went to town for lunch. Check in is at 4:30 and we arrived back at 3:45. We went to the concierge’s desk to see if our room was ready and we’re informed checkin wasn’t till 4:30. I found her very condescending and rude. My son went back to the garage to see if he could get the kids swimsuit. He ran into the gentleman who had given us the tour and asked if he could get in our luggage. He told him our luggage was in our room and it was ready. He took him to our room and found the cleaning person sitting on the couch and telling them the room was not ready, seriously! In the meantime, as I am in the lobby by the concierge’s desk, other people are getting their rooms. At 4:31 I get a text on my phone our room is ready. I was sitting within earshot yet a text instead of “Mrs Lanning, your room is ready”.

Everything about the place was great, but I did miss having air conditioning. The area offers a wide variety of food options suitable for all age groups. They even have an oxygen bar available, which can be helpful if you experience any breathing difficulties due to the high altitude. The scenic beauty here is simply unbeatable!

Our unit was far inferior to the usual Fairmont standard. Furnishings were shabby and very dated, and there was black mold in our shower. I won't stay at a Fairmont again - apparently I can't rely on their reputation to give me a good travel experience.

Loved the area. Room had a hair in bathtub otherwise eating been hiring. Some asteroid in hallway needed repair, like wood corner trim. The game room was a great addition for those with kids. Valet crew was great and eager to help. I know they work on tips but it never felt like that was their goal. They were learning your name even if your stay was short. Would recommend and stay again. Pretty expensive to see some of the older pieces in hallway, and room not updated but I get it. JH

Great location and had own ski valet. Room was good size. Daily housekeeping great. Toilets could use an upgrade to stronger flushing. Enjoyed free hot tea and coffee at the lobby. Limited equipment at the on-site rental.

We received an upgrade to a 3B/3B residence vs a 2B/2B. Very nice upgrade as we had 7 in our property. The unit was a handicap accessible residence which we did not need but it was very close to the pool and spa which was great! Only thing I did not like is a patron of the hotel was looking around at facilities and walked through the iron gate to our room. We had the door open for ventilation. He immediately apologized but I would suggest that signs be added to the gates saying "private residence".
