"We opted for three nights here after 2 nights at a 5-star in old town Yogyakarta and were delighted the contrast. This was quiet and more personable. The "in-village" experience was pleasant, never obtrusive. Security and comfort were good. Though much was written in other reviews about the noise from the mosques nearby, they did not bother us at all - it was actually a nice sampling of one part of life for most Indonesians and not disturbing of our rest. "I stayed for a week and used this place as my base to explore the sites in and around Yogyakarta. It is conveniently situated for the airport and Borobudur.
It is a haven of peace and the views are breathtaking. My room (Royal Stone House) was spacious and well appointed, with a fridge, a kettle and a safe deposit box. The bed was very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to ensure that my stay was perfect. The breakfast selection is great. I would stay again. Recommended."

"When you arrive in Java villa boutique hotel, you fell like in a little heaven, it looks gorgeous & relaxing inside with the pool, the plants and the whole reception & common area. It is located in a super nice area, close to restaurants and small shop and close enough from marlioboro. Staff is really nice as always in Indonesia. I absolutely recommend the place ! "
