"This hotel is very tired. Check in was 3pm, yet many of the rooms were not ready until after 4pm. Other customers (Mainly overseas tourists) were given a drink voucher because their room wasn't ready, but we weren't or neither was another Kiwi guest. We eventually asked for one about 1/2 hour later & were given one. The bar area where people were waiting for their rooms wasn't big enough to accommodate everyone. "Loved our stay. Staff member at check in was great, friendly and helpful. Cleaners do an amazing job and the rooms are so spacious. I will absolutely be staying again if we find ourselves back in Taupo."

"You can only turn into the driveway from one direction so it meant we had to u-turn to get in. There is no lifts so needed to use stairs with suitcases. Staff was lovely and friendly, and the view was gorgeous!"
