I loved the decor. It is really cool, kind of eclectic. I had a really cute private room and bathroom but the place is basically a hostel which is not bad, just don’t expect to book a hostel on Hotels.com. As most places in the Medina, it is hard to find. Luckily the awesome cab driver walked me there to begin with but getting back to it after dinner was challenging. My room was facing the street, so there was street noise until pretty late. Breakfast was nice. Hosts gave a good orientation and restaurant recommendations. Overall I recommend staying.
This was a great little find right in the heart of the Medina. The property was filled with art and Moroccan decor. Fabienne and Adil were very welcoming and helpful with suggestions and advice on places to eat and see.
Our room was cozy with a confortable bed and small Juliet balcony overlooking the street. We had a fan which kept us fairly cool even in August.
There is a lovely rooftop terrace with lots of little seating areas with views of the water. A continental breakfast was served up here each morning and we met many of the other guests staying there. It was a very social time.
Please note that staying in the Medina can be quite noisy but this is the pulse of the city and part of the experience.
I stayed for 2 weeks at this hotel in early June and had a wonderful time. I used it as a base to explore Tangier as well as nearby towns such as Tetouan and Chaouen. There were some problems with the hotel owner but these were resolved satisfactorily. I was given a change of room since my first one was very noisy. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace which was lovely and the hotel facilities, décor and staff were excellent. I would happily recommend this hotel to a friend and will certainly return myself.
I really enjoyed staying at the BaytAlice. We were in the heart of the Medina, just a short walk from the Petit Socco. At first it was a challenge to find but we saw the signs on the walls and that helped. We did get lost coming back a couple nights but the people we met were quite friendly and all knew where the hotel was located. We never felt at risk walking in the narrow streets. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well stocked. The roof terraces were lovely to relax on and have our breakfast. Although we didn't have an opportunity to use the Hamman, it certainly looked gorgeous. Our hostess, Fabienne, was absolutely wonderful! She served us a great breakfast with this awesome strawberry jam. Even the morning we left, very early, she insisted on getting up and serving us tea and biscuits before we left. My one negative, and this is nothing controlled by BaytAlice, some nights the neighbors would play music, tv, or whatever a bit too loud and then right about when they quieted down, others started their day earlier and louder than expected. I would have liked to be able to contact the hotel directly once I booked as they offered transport from the airport but there was no way to make these arrangements. This may have been just a glitch with linking to the website but I think once we book, the hotel should have our contact info and we theirs as well so we can arrange for additional services. I would recommend BaytAlice and would stay there again.
The Riad is in an ok location (don't wander back late at night) but the real plus points are the hotel name is spray painted all over the medina with arrows pointing the way back- very useful in a maze! The owner is a lovely lady but you can tell it's only been open a year. Some information wasn't clear or available which is frustrating. In another year or two though I think this will be a gem.
I thoughtb my stay was great the staff and the owner made you feel like it was your place. The breakfast was very good all homemade and the owners homemade strawberry jam was so good we bought a jar. The day we left it was early in the morning and the owner got up special to make a nice breakfast. The rooms are all unique and very Moroccan looking. It can be tricky to find it but people in the area are always willing to help and I always felt safe there without question. If you want to experience a real B&B come here!

Idéal pour de courts séjours
Ambiance familiale.
It was the worst hotel I have been in or I didnt even sleep here one night. It was the worst service! So rude. The rooms are like 3 times smaller than the rooms showing on this website. I would never go here more again!!
Probably one of the things I liked most about Tangier. The owners were very nice and helpful and have done an excellent job decorating the place. The breakfast was the best I had in Morocco. Location a little difficult except the owners put up many signs to direct you there which made it pretty easy.

Friendly
It was a bit like staying in someones home which was really nice although maybe everything wasn't quite tiptop.
Anyway I can really recommend it !
Great views from the roof and lovely kittens !
Fabienne and all the staff at Bayt Alice are very friendly and welcoming. I arrived early from my overnight train from Marrakesh and was treated to breakfast while watching the sun rise! The room looks really new and was very clean. The guesthouse is in the medina and very close to the American Legation museum and also the Petite Socco- a really great square for having mint tea and people watching! The only minor "problem" with the guesthouse is that it is in a largely residential part of the Medina and can feel a bit unsafe to walk through at night, especially on our first night when we made a few wrong turns getting back. However, it also gives a good insight into how locals live their daily lives.
