Coastline Mirissa Boutique hotel and spa

"As a Sri Lankan living abroad who has travelled to many countries, this was a rare and memorable find in Sri Lanka. We had an excellent stay at this beautiful, eco-friendly hotel. It is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of Mirissa Beach, and the property is exceptionally well maintained. The staff were warm, friendly, and always happy to accommodate our requests. A particularly nice touch was being personally greeted by the owners during breakfast, which made us feel genuinely welcome. If you’re looking for a peaceful, sustainable place to stay in Mirissa, I highly recommend this hotel."

Shangri-La Hambantota

"The Hambutota Shangra-La was very nice with ocean side access and amenities that made our 3 day stay very enjoyable. Two situations affected our stay. First, a last minute request for a second room met with a delay as room accessories needed to be repaired. Unfortunately, there was a one hour delay in accommodating the additional guests though important efforts were made to ameliorate the problem. Secondly, one guest took a fall and was attended to repeatedly with palliative care brought to the guest's room. Otherwise, the pool and breakfast buffet were wonderful."

"The ocean view was very nice. Our room was one of the best and very large, it accommodated 4 people. Everything was very nice we arrived in the low season yet we enjoyed our time. The staff were splendid. We ate all our meals at the hotel restaurant because it tasted so good and the staff were so helpful and friendly."

"Had a great stay that definitely met our expectations. Room was beautiful and comfortable with much needed AC. Perfect, relaxing location with a beautiful pool and beach. The hotel has a newer chef who has upgraded the food which we enjoyed so much we didn’t feel the need to schlep into the busy town. Would definitely stay here again if we ever make our way back to Sri Lanka one day. The hotel also provides but they seem to be around especially if one is sensitive. Also special mention to the owner who is super friendly and hands-on enduring that the guests’ needs are being met. Thank you! "

"We had an exceptional stay at Turtle Bay. From start to finish, the service was a consistent **5-star experience**; every staff member went above and beyond, and we were honestly gutted to only be staying for one night. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a very warm welcome, including cold cloths and a refreshing drink—exactly what we needed after a long journey. Our room (Green Turtle) was lovely: spacious, featuring twin beds, dressing gowns, and a large bathroom stocked with toiletries. We also had a generous balcony overlooking the pool and beach, which provided the perfect vantage point for sunset views. This was one of the only rooms we stayed in in Sri Lanka that had a full length mirror, an added bonus. The only thing we found was the sheet on the bed wasn't quite enough for us, and we should have asked for a blanket but didn't at the time, otherwise we slept very well and the beds were very comfortable. The restaurant offered a fantastic range of dinner options, from fresh seafood and local delicacies to international dishes—all at very reasonable prices. **Note:** While everything is priced in USD, payment is made in LKR. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a great selection including fresh fruit platters, made-to-order omelettes, and toast. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The hotel is situated right on the beach and features a beautiful pool area with plenty of loungers and a scenic seating area. For convenience, pool t"
