We had a great stay! The property was well-maintained, and it was a luxury to have a private pool within the villa. It was quite a walk to the beach, but that also ensured our privacy. We had surprise encounters with beautiful wildlife like raccoons, crabs, monkeys and snakes. Yoga with Andrea was amazing! The daily buffet breakfast was excellent.

We had an overall great stay at Cala Luna. Our villa was spacious and comfortable, the private pool was a huge hit with the kids, and the property was peaceful, beautiful, and very well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was excellent. The location is quiet and relaxing, but getting into downtown Tamarindo can be a little inconvenient. Complimentary transportation into town, or discounted golf-cart rentals for shorter periods than 24 hours, would be a great improvement. The complimentary bikes were useful, but they felt a little outdated and could use an upgrade. Even with those minor suggestions, we had a wonderful experience and would gladly stay at Cala Luna again.

From arrival to check out our family had an amazing experience at the Cala Luna boutique. The staff were on point and always happy to help. The hotel is far away enough to feel peace but close enough to all the action that you may be looking for. I have no complaints. 10/10.

My wife and I absolutely loved our four night stay at Cala Luna as part of a honeymoon celebration trip. The grounds are tranquil, lush, and afford lots of privacy to guests. The breakfast is amazing with lots of options to please all types of guests. As vegetarians, we were amazed by the veggie-friendly and delicious options at breakfast and available on the lunch and dinner menus. The food exceeded our high expectations and the chef has constructed a menu that really showcases his high-level experiences in Michelin star restaurants in Spain. We attended the Farm to Table dinner at the organic farm which was a cool experience. Shout outs to Chris, Henry, and the other personable restaurant and bar staff that made our experience memorable. Also, it's a 5 minute or less walk from a beautiful sand and rock beach that's not crowded, has tide pools full of sea life, and a wonderful view of the evening sunset. My wife attended a yoga class and a sound bath experience and was pleased by both. Basically, Cala Luna was the highlight of our trip and we will be back!

The grounds are lovely,but no gym and the wellness classes were really limited - not necessarily a deal breaker but something to be aware of. A bit further from town (about a mile walk) which could be a positive or a negative based on what you are expecting.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Cala Lina. From the correspondance before our arrival to book add-on activities, to the arrival experience, to the daily check-ins and check-out, we experienced the best customer service. Nicole was fantastic in ensuring everything was good with our stay. The rocky beach was fun for the kids to experience the tidal pools. And a short golf cart trip away took us to town and the sandy beaches of Tamarindo. We had a lovely time here.
