"The hotel itself is a old-fashioned gem. We stayed in junior suite facing the front of the Hotel. Very quiet, airconditioning was a bit off and the air in the room kind of dusty. One of the best parts were the 3 swimming pools. And the breakfast, one the best ever! "

"Nous avons réservé cette chambre en urgence due à l’impossibilité pour nous d’atterrir à Funchal, Madère. Malgré une arrivée le dimanche et un petit couac sur la chambre initialement réservée (le lit n’était pas fait), le personnel nous a immédiatement proposé une autre chambre qui était meilleure que la première, et notre séjour d’une nuit fut reposant et agréable."

"We stayed here for three nights while we explored the Island by car. We thought it was a good decision to stay here. Close to the motorway, close to the mountains, close to the airport.
It would be a challenge to stay here if you don’t have a car or motorbike.
The place and the hosts were very friendly and nice and we enjoyed the breakfast. Good value for money"

"We had a lovely stay at Occidental Roca Negra. The hotel is peaceful with beautiful, quiet surroundings—perfect for relaxing. The spa and pool area were highlights, and the food was delicious with plenty of variety. Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The only minor downside is that there isn’t much nearby in terms of shops or markets, but if you’re looking for a place to unwind and disconnect, this hotel is ideal."
