The building and the room felt “old”. It can use some update. Everything is clean and staff were friendly. It is not too close to dining options. We were able to walk 15 mins to some local eateries.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Loved the Japanese style toilets and the breakfast buffet was abundant. We had a room with two separate bedrooms, which is hard to find in hotels. Only con was the lack of outlets. There were only 2 in both bedrooms.

Rooms OK, but don't expect good customer service.
Deluxe Family Room was good size for family of 4. Although room was a little dated, it was clean and very comfortable. My complaints: 1 - I had to wait 15 minutes to check-in (only 2 people working on check-in desk and other members was too busy doing admin work instead of assisting their colleagues). 2 - Only buffet restaurant was opened in the evening and had no choice but to take Taxi to town for some food. (Only have 7-11 next to Hotel) 3 - Breakfast was limited and the flies hovering above the food was off putting. 4 - The staff working in the cafe area was not interested in wiping down any tables even though everybody can clearing see that there is drink spillage.

Great hotel for families with children!
We had an amazing 3-night stay at this wonderful hotel. Our toddler (2.5 yr) absolutely LOVED the children's pool and water slide in the spa area. The various children's play areas were also nice, although it was a little annoying that one of them (the one by the bar) was only open in the afternoon. The staff that spoke English (at least one in each shift, usually more) were all very helpful and welcoming. One even brought two cups of Roselle tea to our room when I expressed sadness that the free tea in the lobby was empty. The extra space of the "4 twin bed, 2 bedroom" room was really nice, allowing room to play and toddler could sleep in a separate room. At the time of booking, that room was only slightly more expensive than the much smaller "2 queen beds in 1 bedroom" room. The beds were also very comfortable. My one complaint is the food. The dinner food is outrageously expensive (so we never ate there). The breakfast buffet has a large selection of both western and asian style food. However, very little of the food, other than the steamed/boiled vegetables and cut up fruit, was vegan friendly, and nothing (apart from the sauces at the self-boil station) had vegan/vegetarian labels. It would be very easy for the hotel to be more accommodating by adding some vegan bread and label it, as well as perhaps some vegan granola/cereals (which could be eaten with the excellent soy or almond milk). (Vegan = no animal products; no meat, no milk, no eggs, no honey, etc.)

Very nice hotel but the location is a little off the city. There is only one bus here. It only runs five times a day. So transportation is a problem. The taxi fare to the downtown Taitung is NT$200 for a small car. Other than this, everything else is excellent.

So-called four-star hotel.
Pretty much nothing at this hotel works as it should. Room service never delivers your food or worse yet, answers your call. Their restaurant is worse than food stalls at night markets (and way more expensive, too), regardless of what time you dine. Probably it was the only hotel among I ever stayed that I'd rather pay them not to eat their breakfast buffet and get something else delivered so I could actually have something edible in the restaurant. Well, the room itself was fine, except the hallway was full of funky, damp smells--I suspect it's full of mildew beneath their carpet. Oh, and the internet, if you need to get something done online, use your own cellphone. Wireless, wired, doesn't matter. Simply doesn't work. The only thing we liked during our stay was the pool--not because it's well-maintained and designed, but simply because they at least had a kid pool (about 70cm/2.3ft deep). TL;DR: Unless you're travelling with a small child who loves to swim, stay away.

Great family hotel
Friendly and accommodating staff. Lots of amenities to explore, but facilities are a bit aged, could do with a makeover. Air conditioning was way too cold. We turned up the temperature, but it was still blowing cold air. Loved the huge, spacious 4-person room. Great view from the balcony.

Excellent Hotel.
We stayed here for 2 nights with our kids and the hotel was great. Delicious breakfast, friendly reception, beautiful hall and very spacious room. We enjoyed our time here. oh, especially there's table tennis and bar there so we also enjoyed out night time. Thank you very much.

Wonderful hotel
And wonderful experience. Room was terrific; 10th floor and view toward ocean, overlooking pool. (Gorgeous - wish it had been warm and we could have gone swimming!) Loved the hot tubs after long days of wandering the coast. Wonderful staff. Highlight was dinner in the Garden Restaurant on 2nd floor: traditional Taiwanese beef/noodle soup was amazing as was the beef curry. Hats off to the chef.

It's an ok family resort but way too expensive
Hotel is quite old, the room is ok but needs a refurbishment as well. The amenities such as the pool and hot spring are really in need for a refurbishment, everything was old and broken. The floor mats were like a hundred years old, it's so cheap to replace them but they don't seem to be interested in that. We booked dinner and breakfast. Both was ok but. The receptionist needs better training, she didn't tell us nothing. We had to ask from the room for breakfast times, dinner times and baby crib.

Room was ok For the East coast, utterly disappointed with the service, couldn't order a alcohol to the room, so was told to go to bar to collect then went there and only told can drink in the B1 with the games room, very poor. Went to the Chinese restaurant after a member of staff said it was very good, all you can taste is the cheap oil they cook with, left after trying a mouthful of all we ordered and went to find food outside the hotel.

The hotel staffs are very friendly and they provide free shuttle bus to and from the train station & the airport which is a very nice service for the taxi service is not as easy as it is at Taipei. They also provide the shuttle service to the city center with a little charge.
