The hotel is well maintained for a smoke free property. It is just near to the XingTian Temple MRT station. What spoilt my stay was from Jan 23 to 31 2024 was some tenants were actually smoking next to my room. After my complaint, the staff switched my room from 3C to 8D. Beware those given rooms on the lower floors. Suggest that tenants sign a no smoking pledge before getting their room keys. If anyone smokes, the assigned room electricity and water supplies will be cut off as per agreement. I hope management seriously look into the matter as the Check Inn reputation will be impacted greatly if nothing is done.

It’s a great value hotel. The rooms are smaller and my room was directly facing the office building next door so it was hard to open the blinds. The room was relatively clean with the exception of the carpet, which had many stains and looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned or replaced in years. The breakfast buffet I included with the room was better than expected and had a decent variety. Be warned if you’re sensitive to noise. The walls are paper thin, enough to be able hear what the people in the next room are talking about. I’m referring to people talking in normal voice, not yelling. That means you can also hear everything else that going on in the rooms next to you and in the hallways including people’s private activities!! They do provide you with earplugs in the room but it’s not enough. I would recommend finding another hotel if you’re a sensitive sleeper, want more privacy and soundproof rooms.

PROS: Location was excellent. It was next to the train station and also only 4min walking distance from the airport shuttle stop (Bus 5201). There’s a Starbucks and 7-11 right next door which was great. The size of the room is acceptable but The renovation was very stylish along with little details such as aux cable that connects to the room’s speakers and light switches on both sides of the bed (and yes it does control the desk lamp as well so you don’t have to walk out of bed to turn it off, yay!). The amenities provided were in its own branded packaging. They even provided disposable earplugs which was very thoughtful considering the street do gets noisy at times. CONS: The staff could be friendlier sometimes rather than watchIng you walk into the hotel and glaze back at the computer monitor without saying a word. It’d be great if they provide facial tissues in the room. We only had toilet papers and it wasn’t very handy at all. The water pressure coming out from the shower head is a little excessive and the streams of water weren’t concentrated which splashed everywhere other than the body when taking a shower.

The room had everything I needed for my 20 hr layover between flights. It was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Someone had damaged the rug but that did not affect my stay.

Steps away from a MRT Xiang Tian Temple Exit 2 or 3. Has a small boutique hotel vibe but is not what I would call luxurious. I had a small twin room with unusual layout -- fine for sleeping. CNN and a few English channels. TV remote and volume patchy control - had to call front desk. Breakfast adequate. Would stay again but only if the price was right. Airport bus stops nearby hotel but MRT Airport Express probably is quicker even changing trains twice. No early check-in at Check Inn!

Conveniently located to a MRT station so it’s easy to get around. Lots of local shops and eateries as well. The rooms are clean so it’s a bang for the buck.

Nice hotel lousy room
The hotel has nice room but unfortunately the room provided for me has annoying rattling drumming sound of M&E service above the ceiling. The reception offered to change to a quieter but tired looking room next to staircase which we didn’t feel good so we decided to go back to the noisy room thinking that we can endure. Unfortunately it was noticeably loud in the middle of night and we weren’t allowed to change room already. They should resolve this services sound for Room 7B- even life lobby was quiet compared to this room. It is not fit for any guest to stay. Nobody should pay for this room at all!!!

Nice room, but very noisy
The good: I liked the style/interior design of the room. All the furniture, floors/ceilings, toilet, shower, etc..were all in good shape. Room condition was very nice. You get a nice big sink with organic soap. Shower comes in the form of a stall with door (I hate the open showers that get water all over the place) with a nice shampoo/bodywash that you can pump from a big bottle (not those little tiny, one time use packages). The room cleaner was very nice and came every day. Restocked water bottles, coffee, and tea. I always had an umbrella, but it seemed like they had some for you to use in case you didn't have one. Can't speak to the food/breakfast quality as I did not eat there. The bad: Two things. First, it's very noisy. I expected some noise from adjacent rooms, but what I was not prepared for was how loud the water pipes were. I kid you not...it seemed like I was under a waterfall. You can forget about sleeping. I stayed for four nights and had that issue two of those nights. They did however offer to move me to a higher floor. Second, although it's a no smoking hotel, the very first thing I noticed when walking in was the smell of cigarette smoke. It was coming from the vent in the bathroom, so probably someone smoking in another room. Again, this happened twice during my stay. They gave me some machine that they said would help, but not sure it did. Overall, I still liked the hotel. Probably bad luck with the smoke. Hopefully I'll get a higher room next time.

The location was central and convenient to everywhere I needed to go. The MRT station is literally steps away and takes you to all the great spots in Taipei. The staff were pleasant and efficient in getting the check-in and check-out process done. My room was very clean and welcoming. I was very happy with my stay here. Thanks!

Overall staffs are nice. The hotel is slightly worn out, and the door and walls are sound proof. I can hear water pipes and door closing if the next room very loudly in the morning, the glass proof is also not great and we can hear all the traffic. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

Best overall hotel in Taipei on a budget or business traveller. It is my to go hotel in Taipei. Love the design. Only complaint is that the carpet could use a replacement as it is kind of worn looking but definitely still acceptable

My third stay here. It’s very clean, well kept and in a good location. MTR and bus to the airport only a minute away. Great service - one of the staff even took me to the 7/11 to help me get a train ticket. Will be staying again.
