We decided to try this hotel since we've always stayed at the hotel next to it. It's clean & the staff are friendly. But it seems the piping system is still the old style that requires you to dump yr soiled toilet paper into the waste bin in the toilet.

Very Good
Convenient location. Hotel is clean and service was very good. Breakfast is limited for the western taste but satisfactory. Reception staff were very helpful.

Cozy place to stay
Room was big, clean and comfortable. Breakfast need improvement. Service and staffs were very helpful. Location was okay. Near shopping malls but kinda far from night market.

Excellent service and convenient location
We had three adults staying in a family room, which had two good size double beds and a sitting area. There were two TVs and we could watch TV from the sofa or in bed. The staff was friendly and responsive. We called reception for assistance to use the in room safe and someone came up within 5 mins. We loved the welcoming fruit tea, the buffet and fresh fruit juice at dinner (at a discounted price when ordered with a main meal). The hotel is far away from the train station but not a problem for us as we used buses more. A bus stop is close by (almost at doorstep). Two department stores and numerous eateries are just one bus stop away. A 24-hour coin operated laundry is behind the hotel within a 3 minute walk. As it is right at the main road (Taiwan Boulevard) there was noisy traffic but our room was at the high floor so we were fine. A highly recommendable hotel.

Well managed clean and comfortable hotel
This hotel is not big but quite modern, clean, and comfortable. The lobby with the marble floor is basically a nice little restaurant. We really enjoyed having our breakfasts while there. Our room was a suite with two full size beds and a rest area with a sofa, a coffee table, a TV, a desk, and a mini refrigerator. A well designed room. The staffs were always polite and helpful. The hotel is on a large street and within walking distance of a park and a large department store. Bus stations including UBUS are only a few minutes away which we took to travel back to Taipei. We enjoyed our week-long stay very much. The price was good relative to its values. Highly recommended!

Nice and comfortable hotel
This small hotel is very comfortable for my family. Not too much of traffic and served very good breakfast. Not many choices but delicious. Room is clean and big for a family of four.

Convenient at a very reasonable price
It was close to a BRT stop which provided an express bus to the railway station free of charge. From the train station I could go to everywhere else. The hotel buffet breakfast was also very convenient but there were other more local choices nearby later in the morning.

Nice little hotel. Clean room. Decent breakfast. Our first room was heavy with cigarette smells but was immediately relocated thanks to their friendly front desk staff. Hotel is conviniently located but could get noisy in the morning.

Centrally located with BRT and Airport Bus
Booked 8 nights on Aug 2014, and request higher floor non-smoking room. It is a nice boutique hotel with total of 8 floors (actually only 7, they skip number 4, is a Chinese thing) and upon arrival I immediately spread my personal belongs around the room, all dresses hung, clothes laid nicely on the drawers, thinking for 8 nights might as well makes myself comfy without digging into luggage. Breakfast every morning offers good selections both Eastern and Western styles though wasn't elaborate as some Asian hotels do but for American travelers it is shocking nice. Room service is fast and I found they make better sandwiches then Asian style meal. So, enjoy my stay for the first 5 nights, then they told my room will be renovated so need to move, though not happy with pack/unpack everything jammed my luggage, I was moved to a much lower 3rd floor. Boy or boy, the same room layout but carpet stank like homeless, that night I was toss and turn even try to breath with mouth open, not helping. Complained to front desk but really don't want to pack/unpack again. They assured me it will be taking care of when I come back. The next night the odor was slightly improved, I never wanted to move again. Overall, I would say Hotel Dion is pretty nice hotel as it is convenient located in the heart of Taichung with shopping and transportations. new bus BRT stop just steps, actually 12 steps, Airport bus just diagonal across, can't beat the convenience and price is fairly reasonable.

Excellent, warm and attentive service. The hotel arranged for takeaway breakfast for us due to our early morning flight and booked a taxi and offered lots of help on sightseeing tips. Businessy room with very comfortable bed. 20 min walk to the night market.

Overall decent stay
The complimentary fruit juice served upon check in adds a personal touch. However is was unfortunate that the elevator broke down during our stay. We were surprised that the hotel service staff were mostly females and they were the ones who helped us to carry our heavy luggage down the stairs from the top most floor. They were very friendly and helpful. Very pleasant stay.

Location is good to visit Fengjia night market (15 mins walking distance). Also within walking distance (10 mins) to Mitsukoshi Shin Kong Shopping Centre where there are several nice restaurants, food court and supermarkets. Service is great and the room is very clean. The bathroom is spotlessly clean. The pillows are great, especially the larger ones which provided perfect balance of support and comfortness. Breakfast is normal, however a plus point is the breakfast has a great balance between vegetarian and non-vegetarian.

Luxurious, big and comfy room.
Voted the best hotel of our trip. Luxurious and very comfy room and bathroom. Welcomed with tall drinks and cheese crackers. Breakfast was freshly made and good. Walking distance to shopping malls and Feng Jia night market. Friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended and definitely will choose to stay there again! Thanks!

Hotel Dion had very nice, clean tidy rooms. Good size even wen i had 3 people in 1 room. Location was relatively convenient; it was close to Shuttle bus stop from Taipei (walkable distance) and easy to go around Taichung because the hotel orders Taxi for you when you need it. Hotel Dion surprised me with its great service, and people were very helpful. They helped us with train and bus schedules whenever needed and was always very well-mannered. reasonable price with good quality. Definitely recommended for those who are visiting Taichung

I spent 3 days in Taichung Hotel Dion with my husband and 5 of my wards from different countries. We had a wonderful stay there. Not only were the rooms spacious and comfortable, the staff were very helpful, attentive, friendly and super courteous. The pillows in the rooms were big and comfortable. If I should visit Taichung again I will definitely book Hotel Dion.

one of the best hotel to stay in TaiChung
very friendly and helpful hotel staff (chinese-speaking). location excellent to fengxia nightmarket (one of main draw at taichung city).. very near to shinkong mitsosuka shopping centre (10mins walk). 10 min taxi drive to eslite bookstore. rooms are well maintained.
