Great Experience

I liked the place. They take their business really serious. A bit old fashioned and that makes the charm of this hotel. When I arrived on a late Sunday afternoon, the manager on duty insisted to personally show me around and to explain all the features of the hotel to me. I stayed for three days and had a great time. The restaurant is a bit pricey but offers excellent food.

Traumhaftes Strandhotel im Herzen von Westerland

Das traumhafte Strandhotel befindet sich zentral in Westerland! Es liegt direkt am Strand! Unser Zimmer war fantastisch und hat alle Erwartungen weit übertroffen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon und einem herrlichen Meerblick! Es war einfach traumhaft. Besonders bei schönem Wetter kann man am Fenster bzw. am Balkon den herrlichen Sonnenuntergang in vollen Zügen genießen! Am besten mit einem Glas Sekt oder Wein! ;-) Das Personal ist freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Ebenso waren wir mit dem Frühstück hochzufrieden. Es ließ keine Wünsche offen und hat vorzüglich geschmeckt! Wir haben beim Frühstück den schönen Ausblick zum Strand bzw. das Frühstück draußen in der unmittelbaren Nähe zum Strand sehr genossen. Es war herrlich! Jeden Tag haben wir den schönen und relativ großen Pool benutzt. Diesen kann man besonders bei schlechten Wetter hervorragend benutzen. Insgesamt ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen! Es bietet höchsten Komfort für einen wunderschönen Strandurlaub auf Sylt!

Das Miramar ist wunderschön unmittelbar am Strand von Westerland gelegen. Es ist inhabergeführt und hat eine durchweg freundliche, den Gast willkommen heißende Atmosphäre. Zuvorkommendes Personal, gute Speisen und Getränke und eine wundervolle Jugendstilbar vermitteln den Charme vergangener Zeiten, ohne dass das Hotel dabei unmodern wäre. Es verfügt über ein schönes Schwimmbad, Saunabereich und die Zimmer sind liebevoll renoviert. Ab sofort auf unserer to do Liste: wieder kommen und das nächste Mal ein Zimmer mit Meerblick und Stuck buchen!

Hotel top, Restaurant Enttäuschung

Ich habe wirklich selten so gut geschlafen. Ein traumhaftes Bett und dazu ein zauberhaftes Personal. Eine Enttäuschung war aber das Essen im Restaurant, auf das wir uns sehr gefreut hatten. Das Menue begann noch sehr vielversprechend mit einem ausgesprochen leckeren Thunfisch-Tatar auf Wasabi-Pürree. Die Entenbrust zum Hauptgang war gut, aber eher Wirtshaus als Grandhotel. Und das Dessert war schlicht und einfach eine Unverschämtheit: Ein Cocktailglas mit einem fast steinhart gekochten 08/15-Vanillepudding mit ein paar völlig geschmacklosen Himbeeren und tatsächlich Dosen-Sprühsahne. Furchtbar! Ich muss das so deutlich sagen, denn dem Kellner gegenüber haben wir höflich das Wort "enttäuschend" benutzt, was er nicht verstanden hat, denn die Antwort war "ok". Kein Wort der Entschuldigung, kein Angebot zu tauschen und damit leider definitiv kein 5-Sterne-Haus! Es sind die Details, die einen Aufenthalt einzigartig machen. Zum Positiven oder auch zum Negativen.

Der Innenbereich, insbesondere die Bar, sind auf traditionelle Weise wunderschön. Die älteren Zimmer würden mir nicht gefallen, aber sie renovierten, hell ausgestatteten Zimmer sind angenehm. Der Blick auf Meer und Strand ist unglaublich schön! Der Service ist extrem gut und hat im positiven Sinne den 5-Sterne-Standard alter Schule, den man in vielen Hotelketten nicht mehr findet.

Sehr schönes altes Hotel gut gelegen an der Fussgängerzone aber leider ohne Klima im Zimmer und unbequemen Betten. Auch vom Restaurant hatten wir uns mehr erhofft. Das Personal ist aber stets sehr freundlich!
