The hotel is in a convenient location, closer to the waterfront and shopping areas. The building is a bit old. The noise isolation isn't really good. But for a one-night stay, it's alright.

The good: The check-in staff and the manager who worked to get me on the points program. The not-so-good: Price $100 above comparable facilities in the Maritimes Inside side of bathroom door was black from handprints No spare box of tissue in the bathroom Room was between teen-aged sports team - very noisy Breakfast area too small for more than a few people

The rooms are clean, staff is very helpful and the breakfast is plentiful. Would highly recommend the visit. We had to extend our stay due to vehicle troubles and the extra help getting our affairs in order was VERY appreciated!!

Had a lovely stay at the Comfort Inn in Sydney, Cape Breton, NS. Went for one Saturday night for a few draws of the World Women's curling event. This hotel was a convenient 4 minute drive from Centre 200. Also for convenience, shopping and eating district was a quick 5 minute drive in the other direction. We had a bit of a mix-up at check-in, but it was our fault (reservation under the wrong name!) Associates were friendly and patient as we worked through the mix-up. We were able to get our room early so that we could go to the first draw of curling on time. The hotel lobby was welcoming, the room was very clean, and the housekeeping attendant that we met in the hall was also very friendly. Hot breakfast had everything, and it was delicious - eggs, sausage, seasoned hash browns, a selection of breads for toast, yogurt, waffles, instant oatmeal, cereals, hot tea and coffee, and all of the condiments (jams, jellies, syrup, peanut butter, honey...). Overall, an excellent experience. Would stay here again. I highly recommend the Comfort Inn in Sydney, Cape Breton, NS!!

The room was clean but are toilet stoped working and mentioned it downstairs in the morning and they just said something about the plumbing Not our first stay there and will probably stay again the only thing I thought was a little overboard was the $250 security deposit it seemed like a lot

Unacceptable to find out upon check in that the water will be shut off at 9am. When travelling a far distance hoping to enjoy a relaxing morning we had to set alarms to shower before the water was turned off. A notice should have been given when booking as I would not have booked here. Discount on the stay would be appreciated for such an inconvenience

The Comfort Inn is a good basic hotel. It is clean, centrally located and has good staff working there. I particularly like that is situated so close to downtown Sydney and to the Boardwalk (which is a five-ten minute walk away). My only complaint is the thinness of the walls. I stayed there three days and had three different guests in the room beside me and heard EVERYTHING each guest said or did all three days. None of these guests were rowdy or ill-mannered. All were simply going about their business but, regardless of what that business turned out to be, I heard it all. If renovations to the hotel are ever considered, soundproofing would be a must on my list. I was pleased with my stay overall and would stay at The Comfort Inn again in a pinch but oh, those paper-thin walls!
