"I have used this hotel several times as an overnight stay before an early morning ferry. It’s perfectly adequate in that context. It’s been recently refurbished since my last visit - they’ve done a nice job. The restaurant next door is very handy and serves good food at reasonable prices ."

"La chambre était très bien hors la fenêtre qui laissait un peu passer l'air extérieur, du coup un peu d'humidité et de l'air frais rentrait. Le personnel est au TOP et les équipements de la chambre sont très bien. Par contre, au niveau du spa en commun, plusieurs équipements qui permettent la diffusion de jet massant (sortie d'air) sont défectueuses sur 3 équipements sur 4. "This is a very comfortable hotel. We stayed a second time as a couple, to use as a base to visit WW2 sites. Ideal. The staff are very welcoming. Great breakfast available, evening meal if requested. Bar. Near the sea with several restaurants near by, check opening times out of season. Highly recommended."

"Right next to the port. Really clean rooms, particularly the bathrooms. Very helpful. Stayed one night after getting off the late ferry from Portsmouth. I had a problem with my car getting off the ferry. I had to hire a car for my onward journey. The hotel let me use their car park (which was secure and safe - Gated) to store my car until I came back to catch the ferry a few days later. They arranged a taxi for me to the airport to pick up the hire car. I cannot thank them enough for letting me...

"Phew where to start: no lift, room smelt like sewer gas. The carpet was stained. The toilet seat didn't fit properly, the shower took ages to get warm. "
