Top Swiss Alps Hotel Reviews

The Hey Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Room is clean and fragrant. However, there’s a lot of noises at past midnight that can be heard. A lot of construction going on during daytime.
Breakfast is nice but can improve by changing set of menu each day.
Staff are amazing and helpful."

Hotel Villa Honegg

"The best"

Hapimag Resort Interlaken
2/10 Terrible
"Cheap and low standard.
First impression -
1. government funded hostel.
Poorly painted and old fashioned walls.
2. Lower than basic amenities.
3. Chapman standard flooring.
4. One of the worst breakfast menu I have seen in entire world.
5. Good overall is horrible and pathetic.
I honestly struggling to find even one good thing about this place.
Cancel your holiday if this is only place that is available to stay as this place ruins the experience and stay.
Please use proper decent hotel instead of this sub standard place which charges a fortune.

Essential by Dorint Interlaken

"Wonderful stay with everything we needed. Had a 3rd floor room directly over the train track but barely heard the train as it was very sound proofed. Excellent and convenient location. Delicious breakfast and a Migros across the street to shop for supplies before our hikes. Would happily stay here again!"

Hotel Spinne

"Amazing views, 5 star spa included, as with spectacular breakfast. Would definitely stay here again."

Mona Montreux
10/10 Excellent
"You just can’t beat the location of this hotel. Montreux is breathtaking and having the ability to walk out of my room, take an elevator down, walk out the doors and immediately be met with Lake Geneva is absolutely magic. The staff here were so incredibly kind, professional and helpful! Any time I walked by the desk leaving or coming back, I was greeted with a “bonjour” and a smile. I had the panoramic room with my balcony facing the lake and was able to get views of both the city as well as the alps. Every morning I woke up, I felt like I was in a green screen. Just stunning! Housekeeping always came nice and early so everything was turned down by the time I got back after my daily explorations and the room was spotless. The rooftop hot tub and the sauna were also great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!"

"*Do not book if you anticipate a late evening arrival*
My friend and I were commuting from Zurich to Wengen late in the evening (around 11:00PM). We called the hotel staff to notify them of our check in time, only to be told that the last train we were waiting for was under some sort of construction and that there were no more trains after midnight. According to the hotel staff, it seems like trains going under construction was a normal occurrence and it would take 1.5-2hrs to hike up the steep trail. We already knew it was a car free town so there was no way of even getting there.
We ended up cancelling our booked stay because there was no way two girls with two bags and three luggages would hike up a trail of about 500m elevation in the dark. The hotel gave us a refund for the first night but refused to refund the second night because they argued we still could’ve made the booking. It's already upsetting that our travel plans were disrupted, and I get that times are tough and maybe business isn’t great but it’s quite unfortunate that they couldn’t be more understanding of the situation.
Just a tip for anyone who reads this, unless you absolutely have to book a stay in Wengen, I highly recommend you not to. You are far better off staying somewhere in Interlaken and for cheaper as well."
