"I stayed on 2 May
Parking is available at a reduced rate of 5£ day hotel has a great location on beach and walking distance of shops and restaurants etc etc
Hotel check in was easy and pleasant with information needed
Room had a slight musk smell as windows cannot be opened and only air is a air con and heater ,not great
Beds we’re comfortable and bedding clean 👍
View from window of marina tea coffee available and a fridge ,
When we got to room tv wasn’t working ( maybe run a check before making room available) this was dealt with in good time and replaced
Hotel is a little tried ,
Enjoyed stay Great location

"Lovely stay, room was clean, bright and modern. Everything we needed for a weekend reset. Nice surprise to see meet kats and peacocks on the mini zoo and the food for breakfast was delicious.
Staff were welcoming and friendly"
"We enjoyed our stay. We were given a ground floor room but as it was warm and no air con we requested a change as needed the window open. We were given the top floor, end room, facing the car park. This room was mostly quiet and clean with all necessary amenities. The only downside was that people gathered for a smoke and a chat below the window on a regular basis. Maybe a smoking area away from the building would provide a solution."
"The breakfast menu was excellent with a wide choice of fruit, cerieals and traditional cooked breakfast.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
The bar was well stocked and the music by the band in the bar was professionally presented and very entertaining.
The whole establishment was very clean and the gardens were a credit to them."
"I have stayed at a few of these hotels for work as I travel around quite regularly. There seems to be a reoccurring theme that the bathrooms have a really horrible drain smell. I would have mentioned this to staff but I dropped my bags off to the room went for dinner come back and it was already around 8:30- 9:00.
The second theme is the service in the bar is inconsistent - my drink came quickly and my main came around 20 mins after this .. I had ordered pizza. Also bare in mind I’m a solo diner - my dessert took an additional 50 mins. This isn’t the first time I have experienced this in a village hotel - I did eventually ask the staff when my dessert was coming and it came quite swiftly. The menu also seems quite pricey for the quality of food.
Bedroom window was broken and wouldn’t shut properly same again didn’t realise until later in the evening - again didn’t mention this to staff due to the time of evening.
Lastly on another slight negative note the rooms are not sound proof in the slightest -especially the noise to the corridor.
Positives
- the hotels feels safe for a solo travelers
- the rooms are visually clean
- bed and pillows are comfy
- easy check in and check out
- modern interior
- large size room
I have never paid over £100 to stay at one of the village hotels - generally comfortable stay and maybe the negatives are to be expected for the price

"The staff really make this hotel — they’re fantastic! Always attentive, checking that everything is okay and asking if you need anything. The hotel is currently undergoing some improvements, but that didn’t spoil our stay at all. Our room was fantastic, everything was very clean, and we’ll definitely be back. The breakfast was really nice and tasty I would recommend the Welsh Breakfast "
