"I stayed at the Ocracoke Harbor Inn for one night in late August recently. The staff was friendly & gave some good info about the island along with a map. The room was clean & had all the regular amenities plus a balcony facing the harbor. The room must have been insulated well because I didn't hear too much outside noise (maybe the other guests were really quiet like me). The mattress was very comfortable & this is the main reason why I'd stay at this location again. I took off one star because I didn't like the blinds covering the two big windows leading to the balcony (that faced the busy harbor). There was only one set of vertical blinds & I would have preferred another layer like a curtain for better privacy. This location is a good option."

"Blackbeardโ€™s Lodge is full of charm. The bed was comfortable. The room was small and cozy. Nice hot shower with good water pressure. There was fresh coffee in the lobby in the morning. The host Cynthia was very nice and helpful. The location is convenient to restaurants, the beach and shopping. Definitely would stay again."
