"We had a lovely stay at Askot Cottages and were sad to leave! The cottage was very cosy and has been very thoughtfully designed. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the gorgeous view from the big window. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights twice while we were there! We also appreciated the small touches, with plenty of tea and coffee for our stay, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided. Top Sveitarfélagid Ölfus Hotel Reviews

Alda Hotel Reykjavik

10/10 Excellent

"The room was modern and clean. Staff very nice. For the coffee lover, there’s a Starbucks coffee attached to hotel. Excellent location in the heart of the city."

Hotel Ísland - Spa & Wellness Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"A very comfortable and modern hotel. Rooms were really comfortable & spacious (we booked two). Staff were really welcoming & helpful, gave us a lot of info about the city centre & tour options. Location is a bit away from the cathedral & main town area, but it is nice & quiet. Breakfast at over £20 per head per day for something that'd be nowhere near a 'full English' was a bit much, so we didn't go for that - there's. Netto supermarket within walking distance so we got stuff from there. The Hekla restaurant on-site was very nice, we had 2 meals there - the 'wolf fish' as catch of the day was very tasty! The only minor thing was the lghting in the evening in the corridors on the floors with rooms was pretty dim. Overall we had a really nice stay, happy to recommend :)"

Hotel Reykjavík Grand

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel certainly lives up to its name,a very impressive lobby. The reception staff were very efficient and friendly, our room was on the 11th floor and the view of the city night and day was spectacular. The breakfast was very extensive and very good,as was the bar. When i go back I will be staying at The Grand."

Reykjavik Marina - Berjaya Iceland Hotels

10/10 Excellent

"Great hotel, good location, but be sure you know the entrance faces the harbour not the road. Two happy 'hours' in the bar was a bonus. I'd advise getting the breakfast, it's good value and there are lots of options available. We even managed to see the Northern Lights from our hotel room balcony."

Reykjavik Residence Apartment Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely clean room, excellent and efficient system, lovely staff, ideal location. Breakfast basket was brought the evening before. If you prefer fresh coffee and pastry, I would recommend not booking breakfast and heading out to local cafes instead. Other than that we had a perfect stay. Couldn't ask for more."
