Nice, comfortable B&B inn. We spent three nights at Bidwell House. My wife enjoyed our breakfasts more than I did. Our host, Eva, was informative and helpful with suggestions about what to do in the area (Lake Almenor & Mt. Lassen). Mt. Lassen was a great NP to visit - and we went to three different parts of the park on each of our three days based in Chester.

Eva and Filip are wonderful hosts. I had a weekend event and they did everything possible to accommodate all of my guests. The rooms are comfy and decorated tastefully. Breakfast is delicious and served by Eva. They also have The Red Onion restaurant on the Peninsula. Wonderful food also.

This is a historic B&B Inn run by a lovely family. The common areas are furnished in old style, giving it a very cozy atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the quiet in the evening after our visit to the Lassen national park. I definitely recommend this place.

The house and grounds are beautiful--a historic inn, family run. We enjoyed passing the afternoon sitting under the old apple tree. We only wish so many people hadn't stayed away from because of the fire in the area. The town and the inn deserved more guests.

This location is absolutely beautiful! It’s perfect! The bed was comfortable. The size of the room was perfect. The restroom and the bathroom area was beautiful and clean. Everything was wonderful. The food was delicious! Great service, everything was wonderful.

We arrived to a warm welcome. Our room was so clean and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. We had a glass of wine on the very well kept grounds and even played some outdoor games in the backyard. There is a lovely sitting room and a great breakfast in the morning definitely will recommend to anyone

Beautiful & Charming Bidwell House

Our stay at the Bidwell House was fantastic. We were on our honeymoon in Northern California and the place was perfect! Eva makes the most delicious breakfast and the location is centralized with Lake Almanor and Mt. Lassen being close by. The B&B has old world charm and charisma having been built in 1901. The rooms themselves are fully updated with ours featuring a "JetTub" which was wonderful to get into after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. We highly recommend this location if you are looking for a peaceful and romantic get-away for the weekend.

Beautiful historic house with sensitive additions and remodeling to make suitable. Yard, landscape, outdoor areas are wonderful. Long time with much water waste to get hot water to distant rooms, and clawfoot tub/shower a little difficult for older folks. Would be wonderful place for romantic couples.
