You don't need to be modern to be cool!

My family and I had a very enjoyable stay at Headland Tropicana. There's a formula that works here. Good views, cleanliness, big rooms, friendly service, indoor and outdoor pool and amenities. Location is super as well. The team are very visible and work hard. From the very friendly welcome to awesome cleaner, we have no complaints. All this great praise in a week when it rained more than the sun shone. Thank you!

Property well located to Moololaba shopping and eating facilities. Surf beach about 10 min walk.Pool, BBQ area in a nice setting. No Foxtel! Strange there was no toilet paper holder. Noisy fridge.

The property had everything we needed as far as equipment and amenities. Our suite had been partially upgraded but with a few more dollars spent on paint and new carpet, it would have looked much fresher. Bit of a walk to shops and restaurants. Bus stop right out front tho.

Wished room had bath as advertised. Needed to have this feature as a necessity. Was offered refund to leave but on a Saturday afternoon, all properties close by had escalated in price, so stayed and requested discount but no reply to email. Warm pool though. And about a 10min walk to Mooloolaba’s main area.

Lovely staff, we had a nice view of the ocean but had to walk 48 stairs up to our room. We got home yesterday and my legs are still sore. You can walk to one surf club but not much else.

Thank you for your review. We do not have lifts and the resort is 3 levels so unfortunately ocean views require some stairs. It is 600 metres from the resort to the start of the Mooloolaba Esplanade, shopping, café and restaurant strip in one direction and the same distance to the Alexandra Headland shops, cafes and surf club in the other direction. Didn't like that guests were allowed to smoke on their balconies. We couldn't sit outside our patio and enjoy a cuppa for that reason. Also there is no sound barrier between the rooms and we could hear the other guests walking up and down and dragging chairs on their floor

The staff at the Tropicana resort are wonderful. Very kind. The rooms are beautiful and well furnished. My children enjoyed the indoor pool and spent most of the day there. Will definitely be back for a return visit!

The rooms are spacious. The outdoor pool is excellent and when it gets cool you can go into the indoor pool. The kids loved the games room and tennis court. Overall a great place to stay.

Loved the position. Alexandra heads one way and Mooloolaba the other. Easy to walk or scooter to either with the kids. Kids loved the games room and indoor heated pool as well - perfect for the wet morning we had.

Great family accomodation

Great, mid-range, family focussed, self-contained apartments. The managers are great, although not much really is required. The apartment was clean - if not a little bit dated and could do with a re-fresh, the outdoor pool is exceptionally clean, the indoor pool is quite chlorinated (probably required as it is mainly kids in it - LOL), great games room for the kids if wet and the location is great. Two points, firstly, and this goes out to ALL self- contained apartments - not just here, please have some salt, pepper and oil available for cooking. The owners of these apartments spend money on their cooking equipment, so why not at least provide something to protect them. Secondly. paying $5 per day for scooters and boogie boards - well, we felt that was a bit rich. Overall, great location, friendly staff, great pool and clean apartments.

Great location - pleasant accommodation

Comfortable apartment with indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a games room. Easy walking distance to Alexandra Headlands beach. Friendly staff.

Tepid spa pool

Only criticism is that the indoor spa pool was far too cold. In the middle of winter I expect warmth from a spa pool. Management advised it was 32 degrees but with cold water pumping in recirculating from the swimming pool I could only tolerate a few minutes and that was after heating up in the sauna first. I note it was barley used by the guests staying at the time.

Thanks for your feedback. Both the spa and pool are set at 32 degrees. As the spa is not a stand alone spa like other spas it would be difficult to raise the temperature without it affecting the pool temperature. Certainly going from the sauna temperature of 77 degrees to the spa might make it feel colder than it actually is. The lack of spa use from other guests may have been because they were using the other facilities we provide at the resort, games room, tennis court etc. Again thank you for your feedback.

Amazing rooms and close to everything

I have to say my experience in this motel was exceptional. Not only was out room spacious and the facilities fantastic but the owners were absolutely amazing. As my husband was not able to join myself and my children nothing was to much trouble and so friendly, made my stay with my children very comfortable and enjoyable.
