"We were disappointed with the choice of food options as we felt the breakfast menu provided more options for your Asian clientele than westerners. There was not even the option for real bacon (not beef bacon) unlike most other hotels provided. Also no baked beans or HP or Worcestershire sauce which is always used with any kind of cooked egg options. This was a big let down for us as other hotels have bigger and better breakfast options which we would have expected from a five star hotel like The Stones. However all the staff were exceptional, very helpful, friendly and courteous. The only other complaint we have is that the air conditioning was just not cool enough with no option to change the temperature. Many other people were also complaining about it. It often felt very claustrophobic when it was a very hot and humid day. "
"Loved this property, the staff on check in were amazing - taking care of our every need. In fact, every staff we ran across was very kind and courteous! Great culture and customer service.
My husband had been a little bit leary about reading some of the reviews on how far away some of the things were and about the noise. We requested a wheelchair the first day, but found the distances were not too bad and he could walk the small distances. The other concern that had been brought up was regarding noise on the property, from the resort and the neighbouring resort. Yes, you could hear the music and some happy cheering people. BUT with the door closed, it was almost non existent, and ended pretty early in the evening.
Loved the design of the hotel and the culture they are striving for. The suite we were in was such a surprise to have a stocked bar that you could learn to be a bartender in with books and recipes and all the ingredients you needed on hand.
I attended the Sound Bath, what a lovely experience, would highly recommend. I wish we had more time to attend the other programs this practitioner facilitated as he was wonderful.
Each of the restaurants had something a little different- all meals were excellent! And they tried to accommodate my husbands diabetic needs.
I was sad that the apocathary staff were not in on Sunday on the day we were around the hotel. I would of loved to had a consult and learned more about their products.
Thanks for a great stay."
"The staff were amazing, caring, attentive and ever so kind. The property is looking tired and out dated, it was a shame that little things were not fixed like the shower shelf had been removed and not replaced, the bed had a missing patch and not repaired. The pool is only small however it was quiet so only a few people there. The breakfast was great, good selection of foods from around the world. Egg station was slow to turn out. The cocktail making class was great for $10aud. Overall a great stay."
