"Sambor Prei Kuk, as one of the latest UNESCO World Heritage sites, definitely needs to be finally put on Cambodia's tourist circuit (so far, it gets only a handful of visitors), and Dracaena Resort is hands down the place where to stay - it's in fact the only place in reasonable distance from the temple ruins, but it's also quite certainly the best accomodation anywhere between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Kampong Thom Royal Hotel & Restaurant

3.5 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (7)
"Staff is very eager to pleaae. Property is 'daily clean', but it needs a good detailing. Marble floors are dull, brass and chrome could be much better, Areas with low foot traffic seem neglected. Back of house areas have debris, old furnishings, need help. It seems the hotel may be struggeling with the slow tourism revival after Covid."

Romduol Island Chalet

3.5 star property

"awful, the hotel is part of a now deserted resort. No English speaking staff (which was advertised), none of the facilities work, there's nothing to do and the restaurant shuts at 6pm, everything is broken and run down. We were the only people there in the entire resort. Give it a miss unless you like to stay in a Ghost town ruin."
