"Overall, our two-night stay was okay. Our room(s) were interesting, since it was more like a suite. However, window air conditioning was loud. And coffee was nowhere to be found. Our in-room coffee/espresso machine was inoperable. And while talking to other folks staying there, found they had the same experience. Continental breakfast was a joke and again no coffee."
"Staff was ill-inforned and rude. When I checked in the person at the front desk told me breakfast was until 10:30 am. When I came down at 10 the staff was tearing down breakfast. I asked the staff if they could give me 5 minutes to get some breakfast. One woman helped out but the other one unplugged the toaster while I was using it. When I went to the front desk, the clerk laughed as if my complaint was a joke. I will not be returning."
"The hotel room was an astoundingly LONG walk from the only set of elevators at the lobby.
I was not directed to a separate entry door with my luggage, nor was there a closer elevator available.
I have never encountered such a long, convoluted route from a hotel lobby to a room before."
Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn & Conference Centre
10/10 Excellent
"I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn & Conference Centre, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish.
From the moment I arrived, the staff made a fantastic impression. They were warm, welcoming, and highly professional. Check-in was quick and efficient, and throughout my stay, every team member I encountered was friendly and eager to help. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality really stood out.
The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The bed provided a great night’s sleep, and the room was equipped with everything I needed, including reliable Wi-Fi, a functional workspace, and a clean, modern bathroom. Housekeeping did an excellent job maintaining the room to a high standard each day.
One of the highlights of the stay was the hotel’s amenities. The indoor atrium and pool area created a relaxing, almost resort-like atmosphere, somethin you don’t often find in a city hotel. It’s a wonderful feature whether you’re traveling for business or leisure.
The on-site dining options were also impressive. Meals were fresh and delicious, with a good variety to suit different tastes. The service in the restaurant was just as attentive as at the front desk, making every dining enjoyable.
My stay at the Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn & Conference Centre was exceptional. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and standout amenities makes it a place I would highly recommend!"
"The parking was great. Bed was uncomfortable and felt quite small for what was supposed to be a queen size bed in room 303. It was very difficult for us seniors to get in and out of that high sided tub."
