Modest to small size room just outside the Strasbourg City center. 15 minute direct walk to the Cathedral. Plenty of Brasseries around the immediate area with some good dinner offers.
Biggest issue, as with many older hotels, the AC did not work well during 32C days. Not did it work well during 27C days. But the cooler nights made it quite nice to just open the window.
The morning breakfast is a bit basic, but the breads and croissants were amazing. Worth adding to your bill to get a jump on your day. And... the chocolate shop is next door! I will stay again.

Hello,We thank you for your positive feedback about your stay in our establishment and for the mention of the pasteries in breakfast, the localisation and the personal. We are sorry to hear about the AC, normally they should be modern and more accomodating. We will check it to be sure it works at its best. When we arrived the hotel receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Our 16 year old son's luggage did not arrive from the airlines so we had to shop for clothes for him in the area and the man at the reception was helpful in giving us good information on places in the area for our son's style of clothing.

This was a quaint out-of-way hotel, but it was a bit hard to find. It’s very close to the Old City and super convenient for walking. The staff was particularly helpful. Breakfast was quite good.
First, we were placed in a room with a portable air-conditioning, it was a little disappointing. But after our request, we were immediately transferred to a normal room. The property is in a quiet location. It is about a 15-minute walk from the Cathedral, restaurant and shops. We didn't try the breakfast as we wanted to explore the area. The location is also a Tram ride away from the Strasbourg Central Train station. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Great little hotel in a perfect position for easily exploring Strasbourg. Staff very helpful and friendly and breakfast continental breakfast had plenty of choice

Room was small but nice. No fridge or microwave but had a safe. Staff was exceptionally helpful.
Pros: about 10 min. Walk to shopping and dinning. About 10 to 15 min Drive to train station. Nice updated decor in rooms and entire hotel. Comfortable lobby. Elevator. Entire hotel very clean. Next door to Monoprix. Hot water with good bathroom and shower. 3 person room had unique layout with a door separating the beds. 2 out of 3 beds comfortable. Slightly better than usual European breakfast. Helpful staff.
Cons: very few restaurants nearby ( 10 min. Walk away), floors very creaky and noisy, unable to moderate heat in room, windows did open though that allowed street noise, 1 very uncomfortable bed.
Would we stay again? Possibly. We would only stay on top floor at back of hotel. We would consider another hotel that was closer to more restaurants though if the price was comparable and the hotel was as nicely kept up as Couvent.
Very nice rooms, clean and supplied with all needed amenities. Staff is extremely friendly and will try to help with any requests. Treated guests as if they were family. Nice large kitchen/gathering area is available for snaking or meeting with others. Breakfast provided to accommodate a vegan lifestyle.
Hotel located about a 15 minute walk from Strasbourg cathedral. Very good breakfast buffet with varied choices. Careful. Front entrance of the hotel is not located directly on the street, but in an alley.
The information on Hotels.com is incorrect. If you would like to self-park at the property you have to request it ahead of time. Do not rely on the fact that it says parking is available. Call the hotel and reserve it. Hotels.com should update their information. Also, breakfast is not worth it, a couple pieces of cheese, so cold meat and a piece of bread. Lots of cafes in walking distance that give you a better variety. Otherwise it was a great property and excellent location.
We stayed here during the Christmas market. Hotel is at a great location. Easy to walk to the old town area and close to public transit. Parking is available, but it’s best to drop off bags first since the garage is a block away from the hotel. Staff was great and very helpful. Room was a little on the small side, but was updated. Our room did get a little stuffy, but cracking the window helped with that. Breakfast was a normal European continental breakfast, and it was very nice. Would recommend staying at this hotel.
nice place, abridge away from the city center
Good staff, liked the help to have the app install so we could park in the street for much a lower price than night car park
Very quiet, very clean, good qircon, good linen, slept very well. very good value for money
The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable but the BEST is the open lounge area with a kitchenette and a most interesting collection of books to discover (in English). After travelling for a few days and negotiating deconfinement rules, it was superb to relax on the sofa and read about French history.
Small hotel with nice lobby a few steps away from the center, around 10 minutes from the main station. Staff was kind (did not all speak English) and breakfast was good. No shampoo or toiletries in the room, only soap.

The breakfast cafe is cute. Staffs are friendly.
Our room was a little dark and the heat made the room extremely hot but the staff was able to fix it for us by turning it off. We still had to leave the window open a bit to allow air in.

Dear Ingrid,
Thank you very much for this wonderful message, we hope to see you again very soon :)
Best regards,
The pros:
- easy check in
- comfortable bed
- nice communal sitting area near hotel lobby
- small hotel with out a bar/restaurant but they sell beverages and snacks
- the hotel is located approximately 10 minutes walking to the centrum
- there is a grocery store almost next door to the hotel
The cons:
- hotel parking is limited and street parking metered
(If you arrive on a Sunday or a holiday, you can park for free in the metered spots - on other days paid street parking runs from 9 am - 7 pm)
- the breakfast was average (considering you are in France, the croissants/baguet were lackluster)
- although there is an elevator, some rooms are only accessible by stairs (as was ours)
- our room had a slanted ceiling making the use of the desk impossible. This wasn't important for us but if you are planning on working in the room, something to ask about
We had a nice stay at Le Couvent des Franciscain! It was quite easy to find by car, and they have parking places available behind the corner. It’s also very easy to walk from there to the pedestrian city center!
The room was spacious and super clean. You can also have a nice breakfast there to start your day.
