Quiet room with very comfortable bed. Room temperature adjustable. Slightly unusual curved design of shower door didn't really keep water away from the rest of the bathroom floor - though not really a problem. Good breakfast, with a wide choice of food & drink in a relaxed setting. Friendly staff. Area around the hotel is nice, and only a 15 minute walk to Hornstull underground station. I would be happy to stay at the Zinkensdamm again.

The hotel is located right next to a park, so good for taking a walk. It's a little inconvenient for access to the metro.

Brilliant location next to a beautiful big park but still just a short walk from shopping and bars/restaurants. The hotel felt homely and welcoming and the staff were very friendly

The restaurant and bar downstairs were great. Breakfast had tons of options. Automatic doors helped a lot when trying to transfer luggage around. Hotel in nice safe area. Staff very pleasant. Room very small, bathroom the size of a postage stamp with shower floor sharing floor with rest of bathroom so after a shower total bathroom floor flooded. Parking garage full so had to park WAY down the street approximately 30 car lengths away. Tried to pay for the street parking and the one meter wouldn’t work so had to hope for no ticket or tow all night. Overall cool little place but wouldn’t stay for more than one night.

Superb location, great service to a fab price
Always great service and reasonable rates. The location is fabulous, especially if you have children as it's next to a fantastic playground.bso close to the water front, nature and also the nightlife pulse of Söder this hotel cannot be beat on location. The breakfast is always very nice. They even have a home made granola that I adore.

Nice stay
Staff was very friendly, room was clean, a bit tiny but it had everything we needed - towels, soaps, tea-making utilities, TV, power outlets, etc. The only thing making our stay a bit uncomfortable was that we thought we only had one blanket per two people - the one on the bed. In the morning, we discovered there was another one hidden away in the cupboard. So my sleep quality was a bit bad due to that, but I learned to check the cupboards next time!

While a little farther from the city centre, this welcoming hotel/hostel was a great choice for my family of 4. The staff were extremely helpful in providing advice on sites, tours, and medical facilities when my son became injured. The breakfast was amazing and I loved that we were also able to use the self-catering kitchen to prepare meals, if desired. A wonderful playground is a 2 minute walk away and the Tbana about 10 mins away. Opportunities for shopping and nightlife are also close by. A great location overall and I would stay here again.

Great location, near the Metro station, lovely park adjacent, peaceful and quiet. Staff helpful and friendly. Hotel very clean. Good breakfast selection. Only very slight negative was our room was quite small. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

The hotel was nice - restaurant and snacks onsite. Nice outdoor area. No ironing board or iron in room - but, it was nearby down the hall. I don't know if the hotel messed up or if Orbitz did - we booked a hotel room and were given a hostel room when we arrived. Looking back over our booking, it says nothing about us booking a hostel (and the hostel room was like a worn down dorm room- not at all worth the price I prepaid). I spoke with the staff and they moved us to a hotel room with no problem. Just beware when booking through Orbitz. The hotel is within walking distance to public transportation - but, with luggage, it was a bit of a hassle (due to hills, etc.). Very close to a nice playground and beach area. .

This is a great place to stay in central Stockholm, 10 mins walk from Zinkensdamm metro station, in a park, older style wooden hotel with great feel, all facilities good, room spacious and clean, tea, coffee, fridge, great bathroom with typical swedish engineered shower, great dining room, though menu a bit short for long stays. TV mainly local channels, but wifi is great, so not an issue. I have stayed twice now and will repeat again. Park location is a big plus to unwind in evening.

One of the most amazing customer service experience ever. We had some unique requests and the super friendly staff bent over backwards to help us. Breakfast was excellent, as was the dinner. Location is fantastic too!

Excellent location and great for families
The hotel is a nice and clean one with reasonable sized rooms. We are a whole family of four in total so we need space. It is not a fancy hotel but it has everything you need. Although not a posh hotel, nothing seems flimsy or of poor quality from beds, bed linen, furniture shower etc. There is a part of the hotel that is a hostel, but it is not a bother at all really. The best thing about this hotel is the location - near the park that is great for kids and the water where you can swim in the summer - and the breakfast. The offering is great and of superb quality.

Although this seemed to be a larger hotel, it had a very cozy, personal feel to it. Great outdoor patio for lunch or a beer on a warm afternoon. Surrounded by parks. Breakfast offered a great variety of hot and cold food options. Wi-fi seemed to come and go several times during my two-night stay. I'd highly recommend Hotel Zinkensdamm UNLESS you are interested in staying somewhere with lots of shops and bars nearby... although a couple could be found, I'd say the bulk require you hop on a bus or the tunnel. Even the nearest public transportation stop requires a lot of walking back and forth. But if you're looking to just take it easy and get away from the more congested areas, this place is perfect.

The only problem we had was that on the weekends they don't serve off a menu in the restaurant. It was hard because my daughter is vegetarian and the choices were limited. We appreciated having a room for all three of us to share, and loved the hotel's proximity to many sights and activities.

Sweden Trip 2018
We were in Sweden for four days and loved our 3-night stay at Hotel Zinkensdamm. The location was perfect for walking to the city and seeing all the beauty of Stockholm. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed every minute of our stay there. If we are ever in Stockholm again we will definitely stay at this hotel. Thank you!

We came to visit our daughter in Sweden and wanted to stay near to where she was living. I found this hotel on Expedia and it looked cute - but I couldn't tell. Booked it anyways. When we got there there was a slight mixup where they thought we booked a "hostel" room instead of a hotel room. But we cleared it up quickly and they were so courteous and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were SO comfortable with the best down comforters. But our favorite part was the breakfast. It was such a pretty room to eat in and the choices were wonderful. All four of us (husband and two teenage kids) loved it!! One other thing that was great was that they have a laundry room and I had a load of laundry to do while we were there. It helped us to get through the week. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Not fancy - but lovely and the price was right!

Near a big park, but...
Really liked this place. Near a huge park.People should be aware that its in an area that is a bit rough around the edges known for drug deals etcetera. This comes directly from a swede who knows the area. However I'm from Oakland so it seemed extremely suburban to me. Hotel is extremely clean and comfortable.

An excellent home-base
The hotel is in a quite part of Södermalm, extremely close to a metro station, making it the perfect location to explore the entirety of Stockholm. The wifi is fast and the breakfast buffet was great.
