Very close to the university, shops and both Weirton and Steubenville. Affordable ricing, delightful staff and a safe family environment. Pool was not available during my stay but was too busy to have an opportunity to miss it. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay close to the uni but can't afford the exorbitant prices charged elsewhere.

This property was very nice and relatively updated. However, my biggest gripes are: the carpet in my room needed to be vacuumed and deep cleaned. This was also true of the external carpeting in the hallway on the east side of the hotel (all three levels). Secondly, the bed sheets were not cleaned. However, the Staff was just a nice and polite as could be and very concerned about their guest.

Property stated they had a pool and workout room! When we get there it’s closed for renovation. When this happens properties should be required to remove that they have a pool this was the only reason we stayed there. Then when we went down for breakfast and the breakfast was horrible then we turn to just get fruit instead and the bananas were all very brown not a little bit but a lot. And the oranges they had were all shriveled up! Yeah this was one of the worst experiences we have had.

Our apologies Lee for the confusion about the pool. It is not listed on Expedia, which is the site you booked through, as an amenity and all of our staff tell guests that the pool is closed. We try to provide a healthy breakfast and appreciate your feedback about the fruit.

We could easily hear the entire conversation of the people in the room next door to us. It was way too loud for us to be able to sleep fur sure, so we went to the front desk to ask about our options. We were told "Yeah, that happens here, we have thin walls. Most people just turn on the TV to drown out the noise of the other rooms." No understanding or wanting to help, and even acting so inconvenienced by our ask to switch rooms. We eventually called down to the front desk again asking if they could talk to the room next door and they did eventually do that. This was a different employee than the one we spoke with earlier. It did help and we just dealt with it the rest of the night. Do not book here if you want to risk the noise.

Friendly people and good breakfast. Stuck bathroom drain in Rm. 225. Also, room was freezing upon entering. Thermostat said 65 degrees but was much colder. Took a long time to warm up. (was in teens outside so maybe affected it). God bless.

Dirty, moldy, smelled like smoke
We checked into this hotel fairly late in the evening. Though we had a non-smoking reservation, the room reeked of smoke. It was late though so we got our kids in bed and they fell asleep quickly. As my wife and I slowly used different parts of the room we started to discover issues. There was a drop of blood and urine where the toilet seat clasps were. The shower was moldy and there was obvious water damage across the walls, rust and mold all over the fire sprinkler, and loads of hair behind the toilet against the wall. The bathroom trashcan had even been left unemptied. Manager didn't care.

No ice machines on 3rd and 2nd floors! Hall carpets look like they have not been vacuumed in awhile. Furniture in our room scratched and dented. Carpet stains in our room. Good to see a night light in the bathroom. Decaf coffee was cold at breakfast this morning. Food at breakfast was barely lukewarm.

Nice & clean
I loved the two full length mirrors that were facing each other. I could see all sides of me from all angles. The beds were comfortable & it was clean. We were on the 2nd floor & the person walking around above us was rather annoying. I guess I should always ask for a top floor room.

Quick and easy checkin. Nicely decorated for the holidays. Was so happy to see i was on first floor near eveything. However at 5:30 am staff setting up breakfast was very talkative and could be hear clearly through the door, also room next door had tv on loud all night. Walls seem to need more sound proofing.

First of all, the appearance of the hotel from the outside is terrible. The two "garbage" pots on either side of the front door were disgusting. Second, I used the men's room on the first floor and it was not clean. I hadn't been clean in hours, I am betting. Third, the room in general was okay, but halfway through the night, I heard a loud screeching blast that woke me up. I thought it might be a pulled fire alarm. But the screech ended after one blast. But, 15 minutes later, I heard a gunshot which emanated from down the hall I was staying in. I was in Room 109. I hurriedly showered at 5-5:30 am and packed my bags. I opened my door gingerly and then rushed to my car. I just wanted to get out of there safely. I returned later in the morning and left a complaint with the desk clerk. This hotel must be shut down for a total makeover OR closed forever if things don't get better.

1. there is only one trash receptacle on the outside by our doors.2. I apologize for the main floor bathroom our front desk staff cleans it every half hour. It looks like you checked in half an hour early so it would have been the time she was going to clean it. check-in is at 3 pm.3. the fire alarms did go off early in the morning you and six other rooms were affected. we all know they are very loud. they can very well be mistaken as what you could think would be a gunshot. If it was that worrying you could have called the front desk. Thank you for your feedback.

Nice Hotel with not so nice room.
Lobby and breakfast area very nice. Well decorated and clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. That's where the good stops. The room was horrible, not clean at all. The carpet was lifting from the floor and the bathroom was less then inviting. The room was "cleaned" with no attention to detail. It looked as though they spent approximately 4 minutes in their cleaning attempt. The corners were dirty and dirt build up behind the door. Their were open items left in the fridge from the previous guest. The a/c had a panel below it fall off. the room smelled musty. The bed however was quite comfy and the linen were fresh. Overall the room was very disappointing. Overall the room was not good.

The food is horrible for breakfast, the pool is never opened . Had to stay there on a quick trip , had stayed before and didn’t like it but the other hotel in town was all booked , also the computer that use to be there for ppl to use was no longer there this time , I will never stay again
